Hi,

I was just wondering how everyone makes banners/standards for their miniatures. Just glue a piece of paper to the miniature? There must be a better way.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I've seen some good results with greenstuff.

Cedric (greenstuff) did an awesome job with GS a bit back. Seen some nice ones done with plasticard and a little bit of heat to get them in the shape that you want them. Paper works as well, though I didn't like it the one time I used it.

Thanks Nathan :). But the flag was small :

Now I'm considering using tin sheets (as in soda cans) for larger banners. Jérémie did a mix with a sheet of tin and miliput.

thick paper well soaked with acrylic medium works pretty well.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their replies. I will try most of them.

BTW green stuff, brilliant work on that piece! (although I'm not sure how she got there, or where she is going :) ). I cut-up a soda can since you mentioned it, but it got kind of wrinkly when I tried flattening it. If I get a chance I will try painting it and see how it looks.

Thanks again!

@Thryth : he he ;). It's a kind of cliché to some mangas. There are a lot of them where the hero is balancing on a vertical pole and I always ask myself how they got up there too ;).
