Hey all :)

My first message here, so suffer i introduce myslef with some pics :p
Here is my last mini, the Bad Fairy from Freebooter. I think it's really one of my fav minis at the moment, the sculpt is just amazing. Especially the face, i rarely saw such an expressive one on a 28mm mini.
The whole mini is cute and sweet at first, but very ambiguous, with the hard look on the face and the half hidden knife, so i decided to go for an autumn theme. I thought it would fit both the sweetness and the more uncanny feel of the mini.
I limited myslef to 3 main colors, (red, green and yellow), and treated them in different ways according to the areas where they would be.
The base was fun to do, it was my first use of etched brass foliage, and it works just great. The tattoos were also a first, but they're maybe a bit too bright and ended looking more like warpaints than tats i think.
Anyway, here are the pics:

Welcome to the Wyrd!

Very nice, this is one of my favorite sculpts from Freebooter actually, one of these days I'll pick it up.

Couldn't resist fiddling, I just did a quickie auto correct (yes, sorry, folks will castrate me for that here) as I knew that there just had to be something hiding under the yellow. :D

I keep seeing more and more brass etched plants these last three months or so. I think I'm, going to have to pick some up.

Thanks for sharing!

:flute: ... nah, just joking, it looks good with the auto-correct ;).

Great job Pat on working up the scene. Everything is very complementary and adds a lot to the fairy.

Wow, great job! This is a nice sculpt, and you've put her in a very fitting scene and given her a great paint job. The autumnal colour scheme is lovely.

FF - I appreciated seeing the edited pics, too, I was thinking this would probably look even better with a bit of adjustment.
