Ok, new member and my first post. Lets see what you all have to say about my stuff. It is currently all GW but I have a few other manufacters on the way for after getting my dwarves done, basically something different to paint.

Oh and this is a thread I have posted elsewhere, so a quote will do.

Hello there, I thought I'd post up a list - with pics - of my current best works. I paint a lot and do so enjoy it and so I put alot of my effort into the models, I am as of yet to actually enter into any sort of competition (re: GD) or anything but I will be soon with a couple of the mini's you see here.

I just wanted to know what people think of my works overall, all comments and feedback welcome - I'd like to know how to improve myself alot more.

I can't take pics for anything, I seem to get ok ones and then the editing looks ok but alot of colour bleeds out of them so they look rather different than IRL. This means lack of visible highlights and such. Also as to actual painting I can only truely do a few things, I am yet to learn advanced techniques and so it maybe painfully obvious to people such as some on here.

Anyways these are the most recent and best of my works -

Hi and welcome to Wyrd!

I ahven't looked on all your photos, but what I've seen looks pretty darn good to me, especially since I assume most of them are gaming pieces. The rank-and-file minis are of very good tabletop quality (especially your more recent stuff) and the characters are really great. I will look through the photos more carefully when I'm home from work.

Cheers!

Welcome to the Wyrd!

Some nice work there, you can see some progression as you go along with these and these are great peices, I can only assume you field a great looking army for WFB.

Favroite out of the bunch, The White Dwarf. Great colors and he stands out really well.

Thank you all for the comments and welcome. :)

Yes these miniatures do improve and most are gaming peices, some are just for me to paint up for fun and show. The dwarves I am greatly liking, love painting them. Best models yet most of them.

As to my armies, truth be told I only have my semi complete dwarf army that I would use. It is better painted than anything else and is the closest to being completed.

Runesmith completed. He took me most the weekend but was in fact completed in a rather top speed on Saturday (mainly so, worked about six to eight hours on him in total). The beard is whiter than most to show his age and wisdom; he also has mostly metallics upon him. Not overly thrilled with the silver, it looks very NMM but without the lighting being correct. This was not my intention and is just the effect of adding grey and lighter grey to the silver base, need to practice more with this too. Last thing is also the staff and runes on his helmet have a slight blue surround, this was done by adding a little bit of Enchanted Blue to the mix. Unfortunately the effect was not reall successful - may try blue ink next time.

I must applogize for the bad pictures as I am playing about with my camera, seeing how the white balancing alters them so it may appear a little dark. Also as I only have a two times optical zoom on the camera the pictures may not show details all that well - I need to practice more with these things.

All comments, critisim, questions and suggestions for improvments etc welcomed.
