Whoooboy! This contest has been a lot of fun, and work, for both myself and moderator Valloa and I would like to take a moment and thank everyone for joining in on the fun, participating in the entries, voting, commenting or just popping over and perusing the site, our sponsors and of course the entries. Thank you!

This latest contest eclipsed our last one easily and I continue to look forward to the Wyrd Painting Contests grow. A very large thanks to our sponsors (see that nice rotating gallery of banners to the left there - yeah, them!) who have gone out of their way to help this happen and to get some goodies to you.

Now, for the good stuff. The polls are closed and the identities of the painters have been published to their respective pieces in the galleries. Now we've somehow managed to get a couple of ties as well in the voting, in those cases we'll be awarding to both though in the future that is something we'll have to make up a new rule on. Live and learn! Here are our winners for the contest:

Congratulations to all of you! If you see your name above in the list of prize winners, please contact me via PM or e-mail here on the site and give me your details for shipping out your packages (yes, even if you think I already have it, it helps me organize things on this end). I am not going to go out of my way to contact you multiple times as I had to do with the last contest (surprisingly so). If you want your goodies, drop me a line.

Now, this is something thats come up in the past and has been requested so I'll go ahead and mention it again for those of you wanting it. The Wyrd Painting Contest prize packages are sent at my expense, and happily so, but as you can see above, there are quite a few packages to send out. In order to make this as cost effective as possible, I ship everything 'slow boat', meaning the cheapest cost. If you are interested in upgrading your package to priority or airmail for overseas, you are free to make a donation of $3USD to the shipping fund via paypal. Keep in mind now, this is COMPLETELY optional, this isn't a 'pad my pockets' scheme, its just available for those of you that want your goodies quicker as either way, I will be sending out your package at my cost.

Thanks again to all the sponsors, contestants and you folks that have taken the time to vote, comment and peruse the entries! Next contest is already being planned, look for something here in a couple of months.

@ Nathan

I've been wondering. I was planning to order a few Wyrd miniatures for a while now. And seeing I won a few things too ;)... I was thinking.... Can I have my order mixed with the price package sendingwise. So instead of paying the 3 bucks extra for quick sending, I order the Wyrd miniatures I want to have and pay for their posting, and you throw the prices in that package as well? Does that still count as quick sending then? If you rather not do this and prefer to keep it seperate, let me know oke?

Oh yes, buy, buy, buy by all means. :D

Yeah, we did this with the last contest as well as folks wanted to purchase from the Wyrd store and combine the shipping, save the $3 and get the package post haste.

Not a problem. If you decide you want to go this route, feel free to place an order in the online store and make certain that you leave a comment in the 'comments section' that you are such and such and you won a prize in the contest and to please combine them.

More than happy to do that, and thank you for asking.

Anders, you show off, winning again ;)

I'm quite surprised really! I thought I might have a pretty good chance in the sci-fi category, but I thought the mini was a bit simple for anything beyond that! But... I'm really happy it did so well and people seemed to like it. All the comments I received has really made my day (several days actually... :)). Cheers, everyone! And congratulations to all the other winners and schmucks and all who entered making this competition such a fun event! There were plenty of great entries and I've had a really great time looking at them all!

Congrats to everyone else who won too and thanks to Nathan for organising this - it was an ace competition! I can't wait for the next one!

ooo, cool! Many thanks to Nathan for running such a fun competition! I shall do the buy something option too. Budget is a bit tight at the moment, but I definitely need to get that nutty baby!

And a big well done to all the entrants. There was a lot of really nice entries this time round!

I'm new here, so forgive me if I misunderstand who's-who. :)

I just wanted to say thank you to FF (Nathan?) for hosting, organizing, and running the contest. It gave me a reason to get back into mini painting after a rather long absence. (and, of course, thank you to the generous companies who donated prizes for it)

It was fun to see the other entries and read the comments on my entry and other peoples'. The competition was much tougher than I expected, but hopefully I will improve. :hahaha:

Thanks again to everyone who made the contest happen, and the people would took time to give honest comments on my entry.

Looking forward to the next contest...

Woohoo, it was a great competition and the most fun I've had with my clothes on..... well almost ;)

I was dead chuffed to win a place in the Sci-Fi category. However I think someone ought to shave that PewterMonkey so he's too embarassed to enter next time! Bah! only 3 votes the difference... I need more friends LOL

Gratz to you too Ritual, bloomin' typical I pick the one category that you entered - I'll just have to paint better :D

Thanks to Nathan for all the hard work it takes to put on a comp like this. I'll get in touch re the postage option and you never know, I may even go down the order route like others have.

Well done and a big thanks to all those who took part, who took time to comment and more importantly, gave me a vote!

Heh, I need more friends too - I got lucky for getting 2nd place, if No.11 didn't get disqualified, I'd probably be on the 3rd or 4th.

Anders, congrats on your win. Yours really well-thought all around. You turned a simple figure into a stunning vignette. You deserve the award :)

Thanks again to FF for hosting the contest. It's been fun :)

Cheers,

Congrats to everyone who won! It was a great competition. Nathan and Maya(and anyone else I forgot to mention) thanks all the hard work. The thread on thanking the sponsors-- you all are truly a class act. Now if I could just get the inside track on either the random shmuck or voting shmuck prizes... :creep:

I look forward to the next contest. Hopefully, I'll get off my butt and paint something for it.

Thanks! :) I wouldn't have been surpised if one of your entries had beaten me, though, especially the fantasy entry.

Pewtermonkey! welcome to the talking part of the site, I hope you stick around and chat, as you obviously have a lot of knowledge and skill, and so far you seem nice too! :poutcha:

Really nice entries, I'm betting on you to take down our 2 time champ in the next one... :flute:

Why, thank you Anders and Eric :)

I'll definitely enter the next Wyrd contest. Dunno if I can beat Anders though. My score wasn't even came close to his :hail:

And Eric, your work has given me inspiration, especially your OSL. You rock! I hope you don't mind me copying it on my figures :)

Cheers...
