Reaper Miniatures is releasing a new box set dragon that stands at 7.5 inches and has a 12 inch wingspan, sculpted by Sandra Garrity.
Personally - bleah. Not one of their better dragons in my opinion.

Not too keen myself.
I can't recall seeing a dragon sculpt that I truely like a lot.
UNTILL I came across this one at creafigs by Gael.

@Klute
That IS a dragon! :bigthumb:
Do you know if he's sculpted it for production?
I'm not generally into dragons either, but this one is bloody fantastic!

The dubious quality of the sculpting of Sandra Garrity is one of my favorite topics! Maybe for some old 70s style Grenadier stuff, but nowadays, her stuff just isn't up to par.

I has been always fan of dragons, I liked a lot some of the old GW dragons.the reaper one..I find it quite standar to be a new dragon...and well...Gael as always, doing perfect sculpts...love that dragon :party:

Well, I don't like dragons much, they're to big and expensive, and mostly just boring. That one's no exception, nothing special about it. Now the one Klute showed, that one could tempt me. It's really cool. :thumb:

Cool, glad to know I'm not the only one that things Sandra's sculpting is sub-par at best. Really doesn't do anything for me, any of her stuff, and I still wonder why she is such a 'name' in the industry besides the fact that she's been in it for so very long.
Now Gael's dragon - wow. That is a kickin' beast and would tempt the hell out of me (hrrmmmm ... thinking .... and some of you know what I mean by that ...)

I pulled the dragon pic from Gael from the creafig site where there is a tute for sculpting the wings.
I think he is doing his own range ,Mandragon, and this could well be the mascot figure cos to me the torso is quite humanoid.
I think thats what makes it different and more vicious looking.

@Klute
Have you got a link for Gael's miniature line?

Very nice site, and Gael offered to support the contest once his line is up and running and I must say I'm pleased about that.
Great stuff there.

I have some of Sandra's miniatures but now that I come to think about it, they are all unprimed and sitting in a box as they never really grabbed my attention that well after the spontaneous buy or someone giving them to me.
Don';t like the dragon. Looks like they based it on a Green Dragon from the old D&D line with that big neck frill. Paint job is really substandard too for someone as big as them. Might look better with a good paint job.
LOoooOooOOVE that other one you up up Mr. Klute! I wan't, I want! I also want to get my hands on that Black Dragon that Wizards of the Coast put out a few years back and I can't seem to find.

That black dragon from WotC seems to be the holy grail of dragons. Ebay is where to look for it. I've also heard that it's a nightmare to assemble.
