Whew!
And once again we reach the end of submissions for the Wyrd Painting Contest: Femme Fatale! Thank you to everyone that took the time to participate and to our generous sponsors who have graciously donated their time and product to supporting the contest!
With the new software and a bit of experience under our belts from the previous quarterly contests, we've managed to knock the editing out in record speed this time! Only one day to get it all together, vs. the three or more days it was taking before, and with almost twice the amount of entries! Big thanks to Valloa for her help in getting everything moderated.
It's now time to start the voting, as you, the public, gets to choose the winners of this contest. We have five categories which entries could be submitted to, as well as two additional end of competition categories, Best Base or Diorama and Best of Show. Voting will start from now until March 15th. Here is how it all works out.
In order to participate in the actual voting and comment leaving on the entries, you have to have a registered account on Wyrd Miniatures. You aren't required to participate in the forums, sign over a portion of your life savings or promise yourself to Wyrd, though if you wish to, we'll be more than happy to have you.
The Femme Fatale Contest galleries are located HERE (http://wyrd-games.net/gallery/browseimages.php?c=21&userid=) where you can peruse all the entries. While looking at the entries you can leave comments, which is encouraged and has been greatly appreciated by those participating in the contest in the past. All comments are moderated before being posted publicly. Please be civil and honest in any critique you may have to offer.
Voting for the winners of the contest is conducted by polls in the forum which you can find HERE (http://wyrd-games.net/forumdisplay.php?f=7). This is the simplest way to keep track and tally votes which is all done automatically and at the closing of the contest the polls will automatically close and post the results. There are seven categories to vote upon, and in each category you are free to choose the three BEST in that category and submit the vote. Remember, select only THREE per poll, if you select more than that, you will be stripped from the poll.
Prizes will be given out the the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of each category as well as to our 'Random Schmucks' at the end of the contest just for participating. Also, in order to encourage voting and commenting, we also will choose five 'Voting Schmucks' to win prizes as well. In order to be eligible to become a Voting Schmuck you must vote on all seven categories AND (this is the important part) leave comments and critique on atleast HALF of the entries.
Once again, a very large thanks to our sponsors and of course to all of you participating. Thanks for making the Wyrd Painting Contests so much fun!
