Hey, everybody!

This is finally finished! Hooray! I'm a big WoW fan and wanted to try to do a figure of a night elf riding a hippogriff. I dug around in our boxes'o figures and found a bunch of bits, took them to Pat with some screen shots from the game and asked "can you make me that out of this?" Very Appollo 13-ish! So Pat did the conversion for me which also involved some sculpting with green stuff and I tried to do my best painting it. This was a rather involved conversion that includes three Reaper figures,an old Ral Partha figure I had and even a bit from a GW figure.

Many, many, many thanks to Anne and John of Reaper Miniatures Asylum paint club for their help and advice on painting this!

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

I find the idea and conversion very well done. The paint job could use more contrast IMHO but it is good :). The NMM on the sword might have been sharper on the highlights though.

I agree with green stuff, and I'll just add the only thing I really don't like is that she's sitting on the hindquarters of her steed. I realize there's the most room there, but from a "reality" standpoint, that's an awful place to sit (personal experience).

Other than that, very nice!

it must have been quite an experience, huh ? Myself, i've never seen a real hippogriff so I don't really know..:vb_tongue

more seriously : I like the conversion, but I'm not too fond of the antlers; they seem a little out of place
Nice freehands, and I agree with GS on the NMM.
Good work ! show us more ! :thumb:

Cheers !
