I still have to tidy up the black ring around the base obviously

Pics are a bit dark. But from what I can see its pretty decent. One tip, if the white highlights on the model is supposed to be frost (a little hard to see in the pics, I blame lighting). To get good looking frost I find that putting a small amount of watered down pva/elmers glue down then putting some snow flock, then putting more glue/water mix ontop of the flock once it is secure will give that fuzzyesque frost look without having the flock sticking off the model.

I see a lot of turquoise, a lot of white and a few smatterings of blue. What I dont see is any variations between those colors. While ice does have sharp color contrasts it also has under layers of smooth blended areas which I'm not seeing here.

I find when I'm painting ice I try to build things up in layers. I start with the dark murky areas and blend them up to a grayish white color. Then I'll glaze some blues and greens across it and then I'll put the sharper reflected highlights on top of that.

What I would do is to paint a section at a time and work from dark to light according to the lighting direction. It looks like it has lots of cube type shapes so this could work well and would have a good overall look I think.

skya's comment about different glazes to get that really nice mystical look ice sometimes has is a good one.

Looks decent...I've noticed alot of the Ice Golems being painted in the turquoise color scheme. I would like to see one done in kinda of a dark wintery off-white/gray color choice. I have not purchased this miniature as of yet but maybe I will give it ago!?

you could always have a nosey atmy tute in the chronicles volume 1 ;)

I'm currently working on a couple of different golems and different schemes.. keep an eye out sometime in the not too distant future..

James S is right the fairly segmeted nature of the sculpt means you can pait section at a time quite easily.. I have to say I really love the kit and it's a ton of fun....
