Wyrd Miniatures is pleased to announce an expansion of its existing 32mm miniature line with two new exciting additions, Ramos the Steampunk Sorcerer and Pandora and her Box of Woes.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v518/southernphuk/Finals/Ramos-Final.jpg
Coming out from the smog of the Wyrd universe, Ramos is a powerful sorcerer who is amongst the growing practitioners that have taken to fusing both the technology and magic into something completely new and dangerous. His talents, such as his steam-spider creations, make him a much sought after mercenary sorcerer to spin the paths of the future.

Cursed with immortality for her curiosity, Pandora has lived through the ages of man, forced to forever bear the Box of Woe. With it, she causes strife and sorrow in her wake on mankind. As much an abuser as she is a tool for the cursed arcane object, Pandora's madness knows no bounds.
Both miniatures are now available in the Wyrd Online Store as well to retailers. Also now available for seperate purchase are new 40mm and 50mm premium round bases which we use for the Wyrd product line.

Wow...I am truly in awe...love the models...but I am really blown away by the painting on Ramos...fantastic use of a limited pallette and extremely well executed. Who did the painting? Doesn't look like Spacemunkies work to me...looks different (not in a better way, just different :))

That would be EricJ's handiwork, if you missed FF's none-too-subtle nudging of Eric to hurry up and finish them in the shoutbox the other day.. ;) Also if you go to CMON, you'll see Ramos is his new avatar.
Great looking minis! Congratulations to everyone involved (Nathan, Edgar and Eric)!!

Heh, I take for granted everyone knows these things, so I apologize. Edgar Ramos did the sculpting and EricJ has done both pieces for the painting this time about.
Here are some shots of the greens as well for those interested as it has been requested elsewhere.

Pandora (http://www.coolminiornot.com/111966)
I'd just like to say Edgar did an awesome job on both of these, the details throughout Pandora are amazing, I kept finding neet things throughout the painting!

Now those are nice. Bank account is going to go into the negatives if you keep getting these awesome concepts and scuplts coming out.
The painting on ramos and pandora is just amazing. One question for you ericj, is that a natural reflection on the Ramos' base or painted on?

The "reflection" is freehand painted on.
I'm not sure it shows in these photos, but in larger shots you can see my little hint, in the reflection I painted 1 less buckle on his jacket, just so when people asked I had proof :D

And I'll jump in to back you up in such a case. I have seen the maiden and I can firsthand tell everyone that's real and hand made... brilliant. So I expect this one not to be differnt... though I must say I might prefer this reflection even over the maidens.. but then again I already told you the amount of drool I spilled over that particular paintjob. Love the sculpt as well... must have. Pandora seems like a fig I would love to paint too...

Lol, I'm actually really glad you saw the maiden Cindy, since Chaz doesn't post much (who owns the thing now), it's good to have someone who has seen the technique in person and be able to tell the skeptics :)
there is only so many times I can say "no really, it's painted!" when people keep claiming for one reason or another that it's photoshopped on...
I like this reflection better also, I am getting more comfortable with it, and I think should be able to make it more and more complex as I work with it more.

At what point did you turn into a woman, Erica?
Seriously, though, I really think those are amazing paintjobs and I love what you did with the back of Pandora's cloak. Very cool!

Eric, anybody doubting that you painted that on should just visit your website. You've obviously had lots of practise at 2D work, so I imagine that part actually comes easier to you.

yeah, i've been putting a lot of effort into my 2d painting actually on bases mostly. I think the dark maiden base took about 10 times longer, about 5 tries total, while ramos I just sat down and did that in probably a few hours first try, definately getting easier, and to the point where I think I can tweek things, ripples in the water, etc...

Here's my far less swanky and slightly converted version of Ramos :D

I can thoroughly recommend him for the sideburns alone!

Such excellent sculpts and the paint jobs are incredible. I have voted on all over a CMON. I may have to pick these up soon. Damn you Nathan for puting out cool sculpts. :thumb:

That's it I QUIT !
I'm breaking all my brushes and throwing my paints at the wall :argh:
Never in a million years could I learn to paint this way; Eric this is absolutely awesome !
Of course, the excellent sculpts are a great help, but the reflections and the OSL are the best I've seen so far :congrats:
