As you know I have been plodding along with a unit of plague marines. Most have been done to 99% completion stage. I have decided to go back and scuff 'em up a bit more and add freehand bits where I can. Here is the first of the next generation with a fair bit of conversion (at least for me). These will be hitting the table sometime in the future, so I'll dousing them in varnish and wanted to get a pic before they got too dulled. As always, comments and critiques desperately wanted!

That looks pretty much spot on to me.. the extra tentacles work well. The highlighting and all the little dinks and scratches work fantastic and a unit of these on the table will rock. good job.

Very disgusting, nice and nurgley. Good work! I like the tentacle coming out of the skull's eye socket.

Very cool stuff!
I love the greenstuff tentacles. They were always my favorite part about doing plague marines

My OCD has been kicking up again and I went back and fiddled with the marine some more. Did a bit heavier darklining here and there as well as the fade on the tentacles. Thoughts from any of you color gurus out there? Is the fleshy pink making things worse?

again looking lovely.. The area under the models left arm could do with darkening and n area defining to seperate the armour plate....keep em coming.

I agree with Demonherald on the left "armpit"...otherwise, these guys look great - nice nurgle effects on the armor!

3rd pustulent marine:
A special nod to Demonherald for the bloodspatter technique outlined in the 2nd edition Wyrd E-zine. I'll need to tweak it a bit, but I am pleased with it and will definitely be using it in the future.

Those are great, ive tried painting them before and its more difficult than i thought it would be, nice sores in the armor, they look truly decayed an putrid

Thanks, Jwatto! I was on a roll today--had the day off and the Mrs. was working so I was able to finish up numero 4. :)
