The title says it all.
Who will be there, and what games are you planning on playing??
I'm going again this year. Though I probably won't get into a lot of gaming outside of doing demos in the dealer hall. I will be involved in the MHE (miniature hobby events), both taking and giving painting classes. And hopefully things will work out that I get to meet more Wyrd folks again this year!

I'll be there. I've got some painting classes I'm taking but no games scheduled. I'd love to meet up with some wyrd people and play some games, chat, etc.

I'd like to go, but I'm not sure how that is going to play out.....
I really had a good time meeting my 'wyrd' friends. That possibly was the most enjoyable out of all of it. I wish I would have hung out a bit more with them though.

Unfortuantely, I can't make it this year; and I was really looking foward to it, too.

Same here. Meeting several people from Wyrd (too many to list) was definitely a high point. Really liked having lunch with Duende, you and your brother at that place across the street. Too bad you couldn't make it to the pub with us, though (ah....girly drinks and smelly cheese - what fun).

I will be there with you but "in mind" only.....it's a bit far for me.

I'll be there. Usually I'm just there for a day or two and haunt the dealer hall. I'm going to try and do more seminars and painting/modeling classes, this year. I may even try to get in on some D&D 4e demos.

Well, Publisher's Clearing House keeps telling me they're going to be knocking on my door reeeeal soon, so if that happens, I'll be there! But if not, I won't be able to make it. :( I really wish I could since (like Vike said) the best part was getting to meet all the other Wyrdos.. maybe next year. *hoping*

I'll be there, but chained to the wyrd booth like normal...but this year I'll be PLAYING in the wyrd booth, that's right, we'll be there doing a little demo'n of the wyrd game. Now trust me that it's far from finished, but give us another couple months and we'll at least have the ability to move the minis around the board :D
I'll be there as usual, helping out at the paint and take, giving classes and helping judge the painting contest. It's always fun. Hopefully I'll get to meet more of you this year.

I'll be there. Kinda have to or Miniature Hobby Events would spiral down into chaos. Well, okay, I like to think that, but I know I have great volunteers who really do most of the work! Anyone looking for volunteer/helping out opportunities, please let me know! We could still use a heck of a bunch of help at Paint & Take...even if it's just for a few hours. Yes, you too, can teach washes and drybrushing to total strangers and walk away with swag!
Meanwhile, don't forget Wyrd Speed Painting! Should be lots of fun!

I know it says Chicago in my profile, but I'm actually located in Portage IN, just a bit further west from you guys.

I've worked a few hours of this the last couple of Gen Cons and it was a lot of fun. New/casual painters can be so excited about stuff that it helps you feel more enthusiastic too. And I really did only work a few hours each year (four or six total over four days, IIRC), so Sue really means it when she says anything you can do is welcome and appreciated.
Come and stop by Pulp Monsters booth, I'd love to see all of you girls and guys! We are sharing a big booth with Q-Workshop, that is next to Crocodile Games!

I knew we'd managed to annex the northwest chunk of Indiana!

I will be there, chained to a table at FFG. Not sure what, yet. I don't expect to do a lot of gaming. I'd really like to hit some painting classes, but I have to work while they're being held.
Drinking, however...
There are classes that start at 8am, and some that start at 6pm or later, so it might be possible for you to find something you're interesting in that's going on after exhibit hall hours?

edit: just got hired for some painting jobs for a guy from indy called tom mason. he is doing some minis and wants them painted so i might actually be near there. i think we are near the wyrd booth if i remember the guy saying something about that....

It's GenCon, and you're in the industry. Drinking is pretty much guaranteed.

No, I'm at GenCon, and an alcoholic, so drinking is pretty much guaranteed. Being in the industry is why I drink at home. ;)
I still think we should find a way to grab a space and hold an after-hours Wyrd Drunken Speed Painting Contest.
Just not the night of the White Wolf party. They have an open bar.

Tom Mason's giving some sculpting classes as well. Very nice guy. Anyway, I'm pretty much booked, but everyone come to Friday night Aces Charity Speed Painting and cheer me on. No drinking involved, but shenanigans...

I'll be there. I will definitely be checking out the Pulp Monster's booth!
I'm looking forward to checking out Pulp, too. Give us a booth number (you too Nathan) once you know. (I'll be covered on FFG's booth Bexley, it's always hubby's #1 destination. :->)

I feel like I'm looking at a Magic 8-Ball, hoping for a solid answer. Right now, it appears my GenCon plans are in jeopardy. Months ago, I planned to take time off from work and go up for all four days. Since then, a steady stream of home & car repairs, a short family vacation, medical issues and "life's little surprises" have put me in a bind. Until yesterday, it looked like only the weekend would be possible. Then I got another surprise...a tax bill from the state, due by September 4. Seems they changed their minds about ('adjusted') the return they accepted and processed months ago.
So, it's back to evilBay and Craigslist.com, hoping to scrape up enough to cover the bill and maybe...just maybe...let me run up to GenCon for the weekend, or Saturday, at least. Wish me luck and I hope to see you all there!

Darn it, keep hearing about Gen Con , find out it's when I'll be stateside then that it's in Indiana when I'm in New York. My one and only trip to the USA and I'm stuck in NYC. :(

Looking forward to seeing everyone there, and the occasional Wyrd Tee that might show up through the crowd and get a free mini for the visual support.

it's always fun to put faces to names! I'll be there by the way, you'll be able to recognize me, I'm the person Nathan will likely be mocking behind my back, and of course chained to the Demo table
Nathan bothers to go to the trouble of mocking you _behind_ your back? That doesn't sound very Nathan-like... ;->

it's only the name calling he does behind his back , the prodding with a pointy stick and the whipping with the belt are done in his full view..
Ah okay, that's good to know, it stops the feeling that the world has slipped off its axis. :->

Not to mention the BDSM chaining to demo tables. Talk about kinky!
I would assume that that is for the benefit of the crowd more then to deepen their relationship any. It is important to keep up facades of course.

I finally found out where I'll be- sort of. I'll be in the evetn hall (not the booth proper) though I don't yet know excactly where that is. I'll be certain to stop by the Wyrd booth at some point, but I was hoping to be int the main booth where I'd be easy for y'all to find.
Please pardonm the typos, I just got back from Judas Priest (kicked ASS it did) and am still a wee bit faced.
I started doing my last minute check around for events, swag offers and so on last night for Gen Con, and came across these memorial events for Gary Gygax. Since a couple of them might require pre-con prep (bringing dice and an old character sheet), I thought I'd mention it in case any one would like to participate in these.

I'm going Saturday, maybe/possibly slide over into Sunday. I'll be taking pictures, attending classes, heckling speed painters, stalking sculptors...the usual. ;)
