'Tis time for nostalgia. What I'm doing is rebasing, and repainting my old heroquest minis, and will eventually build them a new, nice board and nicer terrain bits. This is intended as a fun thing to relax me inbetween painting the three armies I have going at the moment. First model to be redone is one of the zombies, first, original paintjob *ach me eyes*

Now, new, improved paintjob (also semi-test model for my VC zombies. Although they will be grimeyer)

The pictures aren't fantastic, and the grimey white hair didn't go quite as well as I might have wanted, but overall I'm very happy with how he turned out.

Hope you like,
Squig

I see the improvement ;)
One very healthy looking zombie. Must be a new zombie.

I'm with Morf...I can see the difference. Like going from Night to Day...eerrrr...I guess it doesn't matter because it's a zombie! LOL

That's quite an improvement! Love the creepy eyes on the new guy.

Heroquest, eh? They should remake that game.

Thanks, yes, the zombie looks a tad on the healthy side in that pic. I tweaked him a bit paintwise, and took anothe picture so you can see that he's not quite so healthy. I also painted a mummy, which was quick and fun and the OSL came out rather well too I think. So anyway, I hope you like them. God knows there are enough orcs and goblins for the to paint O.o

Thanks, update! Goblin time even.

From this (shield your eyes!);

Hate, hate, hate, hate painting tiny little checks though. The new washes were used quite extensively on him, and worked very well I think. I tried to make him look a bit "retro" Red period even, but not excessively.

Comments welcome,
Squig

That little green guy must feel SO much better now that he looks spiffy!

I like to imagine the minis get really excited with a good paint job--they become "alive".

No, they don't talk to me...much....

Great job--soooo much better on the gobbie.
