The first Wyrd mini I managed to finish painting... It was a real pleasure to paint (whereas I though it would be a long and painfull process)

Very nice! First one I've seen painted up outside of the one Eric has done (I'm sure there are ones out there, just haven't seen him yet).

Should have held onto this one for the Total Testosterone contest we're running right now, I'm sure he would have done well.

I always did think this one looked like Sam Elliot myself, though he was modeled after Frank Zappa - just depends on how he is painted up really as he goes both ways with the paint. :D

Many thanks for the coments.
I try my best to avoid participating painting contest (people managed to bribe me into one only once).

Well, I guess that clinches it then. As I've picked Neverborn as my personal play faction (my admiration of the Lilith figure has already been duly noted) I had been toying with the idea of doing the Ortegas as a second faction for demos and such. They are the Neverborn hunters and c'mon, who doesn't like Perdita.

But Francisco modeled after Frank? Zappa is the man musically to me. I have over eighty of his discs (most of his catalogue, actually) and was fortunate enough to have seen him a half a dozen times before he passed on. I listen to him more than anyone else when I paint to this day. It's a friggin' omen I tell'ya.

Although I'll reserve judgement till I hold the actual metal in my hand there is a notable resemblance now that you mention it. Thanks FF, you made my day. (And this is topping a call from the person I did the character sketches for telling me he has a metting with Cartoon Network tomorrow morning.)

Edit: My apologies to the OP, I didn't intend to derail your thread and want to say that is a most impressive piece of work you've done, thanks for sharing.

Many thanks for the comments. I'll try to rent a movie with Sam Elliot this week end... "Shadow riders" seems promising :)
