We had a terrific turn out for our second contest both in terms of contest submissions as well as comments and voting. I expected to have the results of the contest posted a day after accepting submissions, instead its taken me well over fourteen hours to format all of the entries, comments and votes! Sorry for the wait, but I think it was well worth it.
Let me take a moment to thank all of our generous sponsors for which without their support there wouldn't be a Wyrd Painting Contest. Thank you! I encourage everyone to take a moment and send a thank you e-mail to our sponsors and to peruse their websites. Take a moment to let them know you appreciate their generosity.
Speaking of generosity, I have a TON of donated swag to give away as prizes. Those talented painters that managed to place 1st in their catagories will receive a considerable prize package and 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive a larger package as well for a job well done.
That still leaves me with a large pile of lead .... thus ... EVERYONE that submitted a miniature to the contest will receive a prize. Top that off, I've got five random voters that will be receiving miniatures as well. Please take a moment to send me an e-mail with your mailing address (yes, even if you've already sent it!). I'll be mailing out packages soon after I've collected all the addresses so that I can do the mailing in one run (that's going to be one surprised post master).
Now many of you are chomping at the bit to post your miniatures all over the various forums and websites that you frequent so hop to and have fun. I look forward to seeing the comments your miniatures invite!
All gallery photos have been updated with the names of the painters and their placing (1st, 2nd, 3rd). If you don't see that information, try refreshing your browser as you may have a cached web page.
The next contest, supporters willing, is tentatively scheduled to run from September 15th through October 31st. Keep your eyes peeled on the forums and this website which will be getting an overhaul here in the very near future.
Thanks again for your participation and perhaps take a moment to drop a note to let us know when you receive your package and what you get. As everything was random, I'm curious what you got too!
