i figured they'd probably make one sooner or later.

The first one (and it's expansion packs) were very very good.

I REALLY hope they put in the Tyranid!!!

and I hope it becomes ported over to the XBOX 360...as I don't do any gaming on my PC anymore (not sure why...I just dont)

Graphically, it looks grittier and more detailed than the first version. I wonder if they are going to keep the possibility to customize the colors and logos of the troups and if all the expansion armies will still be in it. And yes, the Tyranid would be a cool addition ;).

On the site, they only mention PC. Do XBox games need a special Microsoft lisence to edit? Or maybe they don't want to go through the hassle of reprogramming the interface.

This is something I've been looking forward to for a while. Soulstorm was a nice enough upgrade, just not enough new stuff. Will be excellent to see what they've learnt from Company of Heroes and what they choose to put into DoW2 from it.

Oh and yeah, bring on the 'nids....

company of heroes rocks, it only lacks the full upgrading system of DOW, but COH been able to build your own defenses, wire, bags ect, and get proper cover bonuses is excellent, picking up weapons as you go along isnt bad either. rifle squad - 2 anti tank guns :D

Yep - Company of Heroes is a superb game, it always seems a lot more tactical and slower paced than DoW. But saying that I did notice in the announcement for DoW2 they mentioned fully destructable buildings so here's hoping they throw in more of the cool CoH features (different armour values on the various parts of the vehicles, occupying buildings, cover, etc). It's going to be an interesting juggling act keeping the fast paced DoW feel, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.
