New one! Another Hasslefree sculpt that really went smoothly. The focus for me here was the metallics. I'm quite happy with how they turned out.

I do and you should be pleased with the metallics they are great....
You really seem to be enjoying this type o sculpt a lately and it shows in the painting each one a joy to look at....
The face is incredible as always I firmly place you as on of the best in the world at faces truthfully ...
Now to remove my ips from your butt and offer a litte critique if I may.... not much just a little..
The front right tip of the visor as well as the bottom ring on the same side the brightest metallic seems just a touch heavy and not as smooth as the rest...
Also I can't help but feel the blue could do with a little more variation highlight/contrast with maybe a stage or two igher at points and a stage or two in between the shadows just to add a little more life to it...
regardless another great looking piece of work....

Yeah, noticed that in one of the photos. It seems to be an effect of the angle of lighting as I can't spot any roughness on the mini itself. One of the hazards with using metallics! :)

I agree with this! I might go over it with a few glazes and re-apply the highlights... The photo makes this effect a bit more apparent than it is in real life, but it made me look closer on the mini and what you say is true.

I'have to agree with dh, the work I've seen from you so far has some of the nicest facial work I've seen, and your highlights are consistently at the upper end of the fineness scale. Thanks once again for sharing and looking forward to seeing more of your work.
The metals look great! I also really like the face and the 'stache.

That's a really nice looking miniature. The metallics are great, but I'm most impressed with the face!

Thanks everyone! :D
I really feel I'm on a roll right now with my painting where I just enjoy every minute of it. Hopefully I can churn out some more minis while this state of mind lasts. :)

Very nice work. The metallics look really nice and the face, as well as the eyes, look great. Is the base made from scratch or is it an insert?

The base is a simple resin base that I've enhanced a bit. I've carved the flagstones a bit, cutting some cracks and chipped edges. I also added the heap of rubble.

Could use a glowing light saber type thing.

Wow, you are on a roll at the moment. I like how you brought the sculpt to life - the face is full of character and the metallics are nice too.
I never really paid attention to the sculpt in the Hasslefree range, but your paintwork made me buy the miniature on impulse :)

Anders, you forgot the golden rule ... Nathan reads these posts, and we both know how many new minis are upcoming : never reveal your karmic painting mood to the boss :P.
Happy painting ;).

@Cédric: I think I may very well have a little something for him coming up as well! ;)
@Gunji: Thanks! :) I have on multiple occasions overlooked Hasslefree minis (especially in the beginning, when I wasn't as familiar with them) until I saw some painted versions that really appealed to me. So, I know what you mean.
