Sooo, what I am hearing here, is that all figures can now be ordered via FFG? I suppose that would have to be per telephone as they do not have the metal miniatures listed on their site.

Am I correct?

Greg

All the RACKHAM products is and will be available via FFG for all English speaking country, new releases products for AT-43, Confrontation the Age of the Rag'Narok and the existing metal range.

Regarding the metal miniatures: we have some stocks, we have the moulds, we can continue casting our range, we can create our masters and our metal moulds if needed. So metal minis will remain available without C3 stats cards, but remain available. What I told previously it's simply that we will no more produce huge production quantity as before.

If some metal miniatures aren't available, it's simply because we need to do a new casting mould or it was a limited edition.

Thank you,

Jean.

Good news for the painters :)

WOOT, This makes me sooo happy. I thought I'd never be able to get hold of the Lost colony of Ephorath box without it being second hand!:D:D:D:D:D

That's odd, an anouncement was made a week ago on Créafigs saying that their metal casting facility would be auctioned. Maybe they'll commission the casting instead of producing it themselves.

Think Fantasy Flight Games is going to be doing it.

I don't trust a thing that Bey guy says... Less than a year before the announcement about going the pre-painted plastic route (maybe as little as 6 months) he promised the guys that ran UKCORD that Confrontation would remain as it was, with metal minis, after they had voiced concerns about the matter after the initial success of AT-43. Then he comes forward announcing the pre-painted plastics as something they did for the fans and that everyone should be happy about.

I asked my husband to send a note to someone he has contact with at FFG to see if we can confirm whether FFG will be selling, distributing or not even having the full metal catalogue.

Wren, I do believe Bexley here on the boards also works at FFG. you may want to PM him as well.

I figured Bexley could volunteer info in the thread if he had it, and didn't want to pressure him if he was not supposed to talk about it or something like that.

My husband's heard back from Jeremy Stromberg. He didn't answer specifically about distribution vs. only selling directly from FFG, but confirms that the figures will be made available, hopefully before too long. It sounds like the delay is due to the size of the Rackham catalogue and getting it all going. FFG is a terrific company and I like them a lot, but they do have a bit of a reputation in board gaming circles for not always being the most prompt with things, so if 'before too long' takes longer than expected, I wouldn't take that to mean it's not going to happen. I believe FFG has US only distribution rights, maybe North America, so info on the availability of stuff in Europe will need to come from Rackham or someone else.

On the off-chance this turns out to be actually true, this is the best news I've heard for a long time! Cheers Malebolgia! Don't want to be all melodramatic but I felt that the world was losing something precious when it seemed those metal minis would no longer be available....

Takes the pressure off as well - you know when you decide to get back into the hobby, realise that R's minis are things to work up to so spend all your savings on minis from other companies, then it seems the R minis are going to be no longer available, you're skint and realise that there're over 100 R minis you simply have to have....

Phew!

Following the IP comp though, think I might be tempted to leave the Red Lioness to somewhere near the end!... :ahhhhh:

I'm really upset with them (Rackham)...they had so many metal mini's in the works and they just stopped. Their PPP fantasy stuff seems to be OK and the AT-43 is off the chart. Got some of the Karmans and the paint job's are fantastic!
