The vampires look ridiculous! They have nice swords, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about them (of course, the pretty swords should NOT be in the hands of vampires that really don't need swords to kill people!!! :hmpf: ). The armoured skellies have potential if you put a bit of work into posing them well.

The funny thing is... The second I saw the pictures, I thought of Ritual's reaction. :D
BTW, Ritual, why is it okay for skeletons to have armor, and not vampires? I would imagine that they only have to worry about blunt damage, and I would think that the armor would offer little. Might slow them down! :P

I'd think if they had died in their armor they would rise again in it. Whether it's practical, in the way or not, at least it makes sense for it to be there. Vampires in general shouldnt need swords, but at least for GW you have the excuse that they're fighting in an army and might need to hold one or two people at arms reach while finishing off another. *shrugs* I'm honestly not that keen on these, bu then vampires arent really my thing. The one on the horse looks the coolest, but then again what does a vampire need with a horse. :P

The problem with posing the grave guard well will be it will end up a lot of work as the bottom halfs are 1 piece almost in a position to predetermine some weird poses...
The vamps themselves look slightly better in the flesh..The big Bat wing one just has try balance me on a tableop without me crashing over and breaking I dare ya....and the one wing really does look silly but I suppose it does it's job as a tabletop mini it stands out as the leader...
The middle one isn't a horse but a nightmare and up close it's made from bits of allsorts of corpses stitched and cobbled together but the foot version just doesn't work the cloak is too big..
The bottom one ain't actually a bad model in the flesh and if I remember rightly the bat cloak is a rules thing....
My favourite one ain't pictured here basically a big bat crawling forward it just looks great.
overall I think they are a massive improvement on the current ones.. The plastic skellies are gonna sell buckets the plastic ghouls are suitably ghouly to work The characters will be popular game wise as they are sick rules .. I would love to see some well done vampires in the classical sense bt I guess half the problem is there are so many clasic interpretations that it falls on it's bum a bit..I would love to see a female non weaponed seductive vampiress....preferrably not on the way back from the pub..
I think what GW have done here have created a decent enough looking tabletop army..

Those horizontally forward aligned cloaks have really become a miniature cliché. I think they look really stupid and I am a bit puzzled that there seems to be a steady flow of minis coming out with the cloak pointing either straight forward.

eah I'm thinking it could be a casting thing they've discovered it works and just build on it but yeah it is a bit silly...even sillier when the hair is blown in the opposite direction must be some kindof swirly magic vortex type thingy...

The one winged dude would look awesome if you could convert it to be two wings crossed over his head! The others are a bit meh to me.
