You should be able to order it here (http://editions-thermopyles.fr/ravage/index.php) ... as soon as they finish redoing their site ... yes, it baffles me too ... but it might be linked to an owner change.
A less official solution would be to go with this site (http://www.journaux.fr/revue.php?id=110179) or Google "ravage magazine HS N°8" and see with the other results.

I mentioned this on a different forum a few week ago when it was previewed, I like the new style they have went for with the curved edges and different coloured boxes etc... But that layout is all over the shop.
Take Seb Archers preview page for example, where do you start to look? Top left, top right? then come down the figures to the next row, then you're back up into the top right corner again searching for where to go next, only to find three more pics just stuck at the bottom of the page with nothing leading to them and surrounded by a sea of negative space. Then there is the fact the pics are tiny! They may be true to scale, but the stuff in this mag can be blown up to tremendous sizes and still be flawless.
I just wish they had designed this a little less 'flashy' and given bigger pics all round, even (for example) given, say, the masters category stuff double spreads to show off the stuff.
I just think with this type of format Ravage could do so much better design wise, at the minute it looks like they have settled on a 'style' and made the pics fit in and around that, it should be the other way around IMO.
But...a printed picture of a mini will always win out to an internet version and I will be buying it none the less.

Most pics are twice, if not 3 times, the normal size and I'm not counting the super-zoomed pics.
I get where you're going with the layout, but I don't find it that distracting if I look at the whole of the mag.

Fair enough, il take your word for it. Hard to judge the sizes on a preview, I should have waited to see it in the flesh. My bad.
But my point still stands on the other stuff :P

Did Anders ever finish that (Ilyad?) Minotaur he was going to take to Ravage?

But then you're a bit fussy about layout stuff, Matty! :p:
EDIT: @Squig: No, it's still on my desk. I ended up bringing a completely different set of minis to Paris than I had planned (except for the older stuff...).

You're right there lol Just I get all this stuff taught to me and I also take a great 'outside' (i.e. non academic) interest in it aswell, and it's a shame to see something which has the potential to do so well from a design point of view fall flat.
It is a good mag, just needs refining, there are loads of little points which if given a little more care to could really boost it.
Unfortunately I probably sound like a right whiney little brat who complains about the price of GW stuff, but buys it anyway. But thats not the image i'm trying to portray.
Ah feck it, il go get pissed, happy new year! lol

@Matty
Sounds like you have a plan there for tonight! :p: And for the record, I think layout is important too, although it's usually not the first thing I think about when I look at something.
@Squig
Yeah, I should finish it! Probably will start over, though... Don't even remember what paints I used...
