So a couple of people asked for me to review the JMD 54mm demon.
I'v done that and it's up in the reviews section on my site.

Not as detailed as the demonette review due to me already having half of it put together, but I hope it helps.

Excllent Matty!! This kit now is on my 'must get list'....

Actually its quite a good deal price wize, compared to the ForgeWorld BloodThirster I have...

Really appreciate this review, and it is very well done...The size comparision may have been the selling point for me!!

How big is the FW Bloodthirster? I might add on that it is comparable to it (if it is) so could be used as a cheaper alternative.

And I do like how even though it is 54mm scale using it with smaller models will just make it appear larger and more dominating!

Cheers for the comments though, nice to know even one person gets something out of reading it :D

To the top of the Bloodthirsters axe, he is about 240 mm....so, he's a bigun.

But, the price is more than double!!

Pretty big! I can never tell sizes just by photos properly, I always need some sort of comparison shot.

But you can get almost 4 of the JMD demons for the price of one of those BT! And IMO they look alot better!

Il think il add it on that it would make a good substitute for a certain company's chaotic demons!

Well Jim if you feel the need to get rid of that bloodthirster I could throw you a couple of bucks (just out of pity really - but hey it is Christmas)

Cheers Dr.EM

I'v added a comparison shot to the end of the review matching it up size to size with the FW BT. I'v also stuck a little paragraph on mentioning that you pointed it out Jim, so you may be interested.

I don't think the gaps look that bad, really! On a piece like this, with no armour and not much detail to hide joints, gaps are pretty much to be expected. At least the pieces seem to fit nicely so that they are well aligned. I have had problems on old GW metal kits where the details aren't aligned when you assemble them so that you'll have awkward edges and such that needs to be filed down or hidden with putty. That doesn't seem to be the case here.

Good review, Matty! :)

Cheers, I think I was also comparing this to the demonette as well. If you get one fantastic kit you expect the same characteristics in another sculpt. I wonder if they would have been different if I had done the Demon first?

So I was expecting seams or even slight gaps, but in some places there was gaps of up to 2mm (on the midriff) and only one part fitted only leaving seam.
And yea, all the parts did align perfectly, using he stubs and holes was a fantastic idea.

Anyhoo, cheers for the feedback!

Thats exactly why I wanted to do it! So you can have a good 'look' before spending lots of money on stuff.

Someone should send an email there way tipping them off about the reviews lol

And I agree - your website is very good!

My only complaint is that the current front page is pointless. Just a personal peeve of mine, I don't like pages that don't have an actual point. You cold make the picture shorter and have it as the banner heading on your content page.
