So we're once again right around the corner with new releases for Wyrd Miniatures which should be out shortly before Thanksgiving.

We thought we would start with some teaser pictures of one of the upcoming concepts which has been sculpted by the talented Werner Klocke. She'll be released along with one of her feral Nephilim children (one of the current three).

I love this one! Definitely my favorite (so far) out of all of the Wyrd minis - and that's saying a lot since Wyrd has some of the coolest minis out there.

DAMN! And this week had to be the SEEING RED theme... FF, you should have released that mini immediately upon the announcement of the current IP theme.. That would have been my mini for this round...

Oh good god, not another female mini sculpted by Werner Klocke looking downwards!

Sorry but I can't see myself liking this one too much. But I will wait and see.

Apparently, the powers that be were coming down on Nathan since he hasn't filled his "Lilith" requirement yet.

:p:

Oh god! More 1,000,000 straps and buckles!!!!

didn't you hear, there's a lilith contest between companies, the best one wins! Although in our defense, we've had this one planned for a LOOOONG time, and the plan is to play up the theme a little more, hopefully you all will like her :)

And yes, she has buckles, but the concept art came before the sculptor, which just kind of happened to be Werner. And she is really more looking sideways rather than down on the mini. Overall the mini itself might be up there on my list of favorite Werners. And the Nephilim are way fun :)

(Nathan, I'm SO proud you finally managed to spell Nephilim right, we've had to work on him for months to get it right)

I keep spelling it with an A.........anyways I'm used to women looking down on me and this one can do that anyday... It's what werners good (nay the best ) at so don't stop it.. The fingers playing in the hair add a real casual contemplating look to this lady..
I love it..

I'll name them all Lilith just to piss the lot of ya off!

We've had this concept around since the middle of 2006 (as you can see from the artist signature) and she is one of the Neverborn Powers within Malifaux and yes, she does take her name and her outlook from a rather twisted biblical nature. Can't help it if everyone and their brother came out with one named the same within the last few weeks.

And yes, as Eric pointed out, I finally managed to spell Nephilim! Speaking of, she'll have one of her feral children with her for release and the other two plus a mature Nephilim is currently being worked on by Werner and will finish out her little pack in January/February of next year.

Some hate Werner, some are rabbid fans of him. Guess you'll have to decide for yourself though if its anything to go by from the painters and others in the know on the backside of Wyrd, I think she'll be well received. Me personally, after having the piece in hand, can see just why Werner is such a talented man. The concept has a bit more of a sly and coy look to her where as I think the actual outcome on the mini is more of a 'what the effin are you looking at' feel. Course it could just be the paint job she was fitted with.

It's the beauty of Werner sculpts for me so many ways to interpret the character on such clear facial details....

I like *most* of Werner's work. They all tend to look like clones of each other in the face though. It's like his hands just go on autopilot while sculpting a face. He has been known to give some female figs ginormous "man hands". Hopefully this won't be one of them. I'm looking forward to seeing how she turns out.

I'll be honest until people pointed it out here i never noticed the similarity in the faces of Werner's females. But at the same time, he has some amazing details and some very interesting pieces due to the attention to detail he puts in (only one with more were the Rackham minis, but they were overkill as one minior miscast and the entire piece was crap) As for the Lilith concept, she is one of the most promininent female demons in mythology and due to that her very name can help to conjure the concept of a seductive yet evil mother demon, the fact that demons and hellspawn have recently seem to come in vogue in the last year is neither FF's nor Wyrd's fault, that's just capitalize at work for the figure of the month.

Now as for the model, I like it, the sword is almost as wicked as Sonnia's blade, just please no chain. The other comments on that leave me to wonder, How to Candy and baby Kade fit into the concept?

Frustrated Father

Nope, no chain for her, well, unless they are part of her wardrobe. :D

Baby Kade and Candy don't belong to Lilith actually, they will be with another Neverborn and we're working out the details on that in specific still before we'll release that together as a whole. Basically, start thinking of them as 'little woes ..' and that might give you some insight.

Lilith's children are much more monstrous.

As for her hands, I can promise they aren't gigantic man hands and actually if you look at the concept you'll see she's got longer got slightly longer fingers that are lithe and give away a bit of her own monstrous side. You'll just have to wait a couple of days though to see what I'm talking about.

We'll wait and see. Gotta agree - Mr. Klocke is a mystery to me. From clone-horrors with thousand straps, shoulderless vampires to my top3 minis ever Skarre.
