View Full Version : IP 4 round 2 WIP

I'm ptting this here because someone's a slow poke and hasn't given me a gallery to post this in yet. :P

Anyways, the idea is to do up the stained glass windows, which is going to be an interesting challenge in the first place as I dont really like the acetate inserts that are designed for it. They just look too flat. So I'm going to create the leading and then use acrylic medium dyed with ink to build up layers of glass. (Gave me a great excuse to go visit the Smith Museum of Stained Glass Windows, oh my God was that gorgeous, Tiffany was insane.) Then I get to have the fun of doing the light coming through the stained glass window hitting her metal armor.

My other main idea was way more out there, but I dont think I can get the LEDs in time.

Wow I had a very similar idea when I was brainstorming. I was thinking a bit smaller though, a praying Tiriel in front of a stained glass window. I decided against it because I don't have the mini or the proper parts to make the wall, and it would just be to darn complex. It is neat to see someone trying something similar though. Good luck.

We've always used the same W.I.P. gallery for the whole IP, just different galleries for the finished product. Feel free to post in the WIP area ya'll were using the first time around.

Yeah, what he said!!

I think the 'slow poke' comment was directed towards me....which is odd. According to my wife I'm a fast poke....incredibly fast....lightning fast...(ok, I think you get the idea!! LOL)

It does seem a very silly habit unless you're trying to make modern art on your monitor.

Yeah, we'll see if I can pull it off in time. The airbrush should come in handy. But you know, it's Iron Painter and I've got an opponent this round who's someone I know is a top notch painter when she puts her mind to. ;) I gotta set my bar high.
