It's not the plastic that's exspensive...It's making the molds for the plastic miniatures. See... when they make pewter miniatures and run them for awhile and then decide not to make them anymore... they can melt the molds down to reuse them to make another mold...with plastic you can't do that. So that mold is pretty much useless when they want to stop production on that miniature or miniatures.

I realize that, but why then, could one spend $8.00 on a finely crafted SPAWN 'action figure' which is made up of a much bigger mold?
When you boil it all down, these are just gaming pieces, no different than a hero click (albeit slightly better painted)....Yet a Heroclick doesn't cost 10 bucks a piece!
I think there pricing is out of wack...and I LIKE THEIR STUFF!
Take that last lass there....10 euros = $13.50....holy crap thats a lot of money for what is essentially a plastic green army man with a paint job!
I'd pay 5-7 dollars for that, but no more. The Red Blok walker is cool...but for 40 bucks?
Boo Rackham...BOOOO!!

Rackham is becoming more of a 'toy' company and less of a 'miniature' company.
I wouldn't be surprised if they start selling more in Toys'r'Us and Fenwicks than hobby stores.

Well, I suppose there is some strength to that...seeing how well Heroscape and those such games sell.
It's easier to sell oodles of sets if folks see them in their local discount houses.
