First in Southern Island's WARMACHINE line...
Southern Island provides a look at their first WarMachine action figure: Lord Commander Coleman Stryker. The legendary Cygnar Commander is just one of the many colorful "steampunk" characters depicted in the popular tabletop miniatures battle game produced by Privateer Press.

This fully articulated 6.1-inch figure comes armed with his sword "Quicksilver" and is currently available for pre-order at Southern Island's online store (www.shop.southernisland.com) for $19.99. Stryker is scheduled to ship 1st Quarter 2006.

What are you supposed to do with one of those?? :dontknow: It's too ugly to put on your shelf or mantlepiece... Are you supposed to play with it?

Looks like an action figure to me, and a good one too. Not nearly as shoddy as my He-Man figures :D

Looks damn fine for a collectors action fig to me.

Dunno why GW haven't licensed their stuff to a toy manufacturer or developed a cartoon. They could really milk 40K if they wanted to by marketing it more heavily to kids. Surefire way of flogging more minis too.

Action Figures have come a long way since the days of Mego...

Another damn good idea Scott - someone should suggest it to them, even if they are percieved as the 'Evil Empire'. Hell I would watch that cartoon and believe me, the violence can't be half as bad as what's on the television today.

:D

As for the action figure - hell, I would have played with it as a kid. GI. JOE in the extreme, though at $20 it certainly isn't something one of my kids is likely to get any time soon.
