For those who may care, Tannhauser is now officially 'released' (gencon had pre-sales). It's available at the FFG website, and has been kicked off to distributors.

I've played several games, and although I lose everytime, its still good fun!

Board Game

Yup, I suppose it has to be deemed a board game, as you do play it on a 'board'. But to be honest, all the board does, is allow you to easily move, figure line of sight, and range. Takes some of the tedium and 'argument' from traditional skirmish games. But, it plays like a skirmish game, a bit simplified to be sure, but it has that flavor.
