I've just watched the first season of an HBO produced TV series called 'Carnivale'. I believe it was only run for two seasons. Anyone seen this? It's one of the best things I've seen on TV.

Is that the one where its back in the 40's-50's and this young guy has some sort of power to heal people, such as the little girl sitting in a field and he heals her but kills the land around him? Has something to do with some Preacher as well who has 'powers'?

If so, I saw three episodes of it and it was a damn neat show, but didn't get to see anymore after the first cuople I saw. Might have to get that on netflix now that you've said something about it.

Any good folks? How does it pan out?

Yeah, that's the one. I think it's set in the 30's during the depression down in the southwest. It's surprisingly dark and brutal for being a TV show.

Well...HBO isn't quite the same as our regular 'network' TV, but their programs are recieving high accolades. The Sopranos, OZ, 6 Feet Under, Deadwood...their shows can be pretty intense.

I haven't seen Carnivale, but it does sound pretty cool.. I definately add that to list if I can find it.

I'm hoping HBO makes the wonderful comic book series THE DEAD WALK into an ongoing series. That would be very cool.
