I know I want to show off my winnings.

First, Round1, from LavronYor this awsome I-Kore sculpt:

For Round 3, from Jubilee, I received this very characterful old Ork and an on-the-sprue Warzone Trencher to accompany the sergeant I did for the "all your bases are belong to us" round.

I'm glad you like the Manly Man prize. I did have a lot of fun putting it together, even working with Vike to make an IP logo (which of course, features a female painter in it!). FF sent me the 'official' Wyrd logo jpg to use on it and I made the rest. I figuresd a "manly man" should have a crowd of adoring females willing to do his every bidding, so hence the Hasslefree harem. I even re-labeled the measuring tape to reflect its "manly" nature.

If you think back to round 3 'sheer' madness, that was the round I entered, but didn't put 100% into my entry due to everything going on with my Grandma. So a short while after I received a PM from Tracy saying how she had something for me. And this is it, i received it this morning and im well chuffed.

Iv emailed Tracy but once again just to say how great a person she really is, if only there were more of her in the world! And there is also a little message on the bottom of the wooden stand.

But the painting on it is fantastic, the finest filigree work I have ever seen painted. Plus the model is ALOT smaller than it seems.

Thanks for starting this thread and showing us the extremely cool contents of the Manly Man prize. I am impressed as much by Duende's ingenuity as her generousity! The tape measure and certificate are hilarious, and those are very suitable mini gifts to the Manly Man.

I have to humbly apologize for not sending out my mini to Cdukino as yet. I'll be away till 20th this month for a business trip but to make up for the wait, I'll ship something good to make up for the delay after I get back.

I got a Warcrow girl... forgot her name... one of those elven lasses, carying a bow, from Malebolgia for round one. I really like this fig.

For round 3 from Thryth I got a pirate lass (again at a loss, this time for name and company) and a bat/vampiric familiar from reaper that went with the vampire he painted for round 3. Really like the familiar.

So far the price that really got me happy happy was the one I'm still trying to gather the courage to start painting. The price I got from Dr EvilMonki for round 2. I love the figure but it's competely flooded with tiny and fine detail... and then some... and that for a 54mm fig. He'd send me Sumothay from Enigma, something that was high on my to buy wishlist (so that was a lucky shot), but never got bought because well frankly it is scaring the crap out of me for painting but I really really really want to paint him, and paint him well. Thought about using him for TT... but there is no way i am gonna make the deadline with it without havin to rush parts. I might make it a wip thread in it's own to see if that helps me to see it through. I will probably paint him without the cape and banner but with the swordsheets on his back instead.

For what its worth, that pirate is a Bronze Age Miniatures "Female pirate w/ long coat and cutlass." Admittedly, not the best sculpt ever, but I thought that Cindy would be able to make it work. :)

Also, the "Manly Measure" is quite simnply a masterpiece. You've earned it all, vince!

Traceys Double or quits package (as she got to beat my arse twice - lucky girl!) should be with her any day now. I got a cool mini from Henrix, and he put a bit of thought into it too which was nice! But I can't show it yet as I would like to get it done for the TT contest soon.

On a side note- that was a beautiful gesture from TAB for matty- I thought highly of her before then but she has now shot right up in my estimations.

The manly man prize was also a very generous and also humourous touch too Duende!

Can I just say thank you to all the judges and the organisers, I have probably done this somewhere else but Ill do it again here.

At one stage, Round 3 I think it was, where the no shows were massive and there was a small "arguement" (not really, just a discussion) about no shows I thought it may just spell the end of IP. Even in the last round where the competators didnt like the theme, for their own personal reasons which I respect, I thought maybe it was time for me to hang up the 1st rounder IP cloak. However...

Duendes commitment to keeping us men in the competition for as long as possible (I know she was devastated when I was out in the first), Supervikes consistant and rigorous attempts at keeping the comp flowing, the laughable smack talk from most of the females, Maestros amazing wind up smack talk (hes a witty guy, as is the evil monkey), TAB studios cool generosity, cdukinos top notch minis in EVERY round, vincegamers crazy take on themes and, of course, Wyrd for putting up with it all makes it a great competition and I decided there aint no way Im resigning from IP 4.

So, although I was poop, again, heres to the IP3 and ROLL ON IP4!!

I foolishly took a summer online class that should take 15 weeks, yet why not shove it into 5 weeks. It sounded like a fun class , Survey of Game Development, run by my favorite teacher.
Oh but noooo it is essays.... a sh=t load of opinionated essays.
BEST assignment thusfar, playing Guitar Hero II for 4 hours, but then you guessed it, a 10 slide powerpoint essay follow up. weeee! It is a fun game though.

I miss painting so bad, it's been 3 weeks since I touched a brush.

I'm finally sending out the prize package tomorrow to you Cindy. I apologize for the delay but lots of stuff needed my attention. All I can say is that I picked a painted mini from my display case and wrapped it up with bubble wrap and double cushioned it with shredded paper in a box. Hopefully it'll arrive in 1 good piece. Be sure to let me know when you eventually get it. I'll be really sad if it doesn't reach you safely.

A fun Teenage mutant ninja turtles set arrived yesterday from Vince. 25 mm figs of shredder, splinter and mousers (steampunky two legged robot things) Gotta love Splinter :) Retro stuff ;) Man I watched that cartoon a lot :)

My Wyrd-goodies package arrived as well. Cool :)

Well they were mlavanish and xeo3, none of them seem to be posting at the mo' but mlavanish said he was having some family troubles think. Dunno what the deal is with xeo3 he said to pick a mini from the warstore so I did and he dissapeared.
