WIPs of our near-future ground-car available via the blog

Got (lots) more smoothing to do to finish off all of the smooth lines, then panel lines and then the roof elements, aerials and such like.... haven't decided if I'm going to put in panel-lines for lights or add external lights.
Obviously it has a big "Thanks!" to Lexus and Minority Report but I like that design/concept so....

WOW! That car is very hot. A must have for all sci-fi fans when it is finished!

I like it. Very bladerunner, though personally I'd orient it the other way (have the right side of the pic be the front - like it's about to run him over.)

It's pretty cool! It looks like a cross between an Audi TT and a "car" from Minority Report.

Very nice, but I agree with Vincegamer... It almost looks backwards. It is not very futuristic to have a big internal combustion engine in the front of the car.

What makes you think the left side is the front? The way the air intake on the side is directed suggests the right side being the front...

At first glance I thought the end with the bloke is the front.
And yea, looks like Tim Westwood got his hands on a TT, beeeatch!

Mmm. I could be mistaken.
Without the detailing of the panels, my mind saw no grill on the right side and assumed that it was a trunk. That and the fact that door handles on cars are normally toward the back of the car lead me to believe that it was facing left.
Maybe it doesn't have a front? :)

It's the size of the windshields relative to each other. On most cars the bigger windshield is the one the driver looks out of. There's also teh positioning of the door handles. A normal car will have the door handles at the back of the door. As it is if those are door handles then and the car is facing towards teh guy, that's eier a really friggin small door or the handles are in a really wierd place.

Of course I coud be wrong too, but the shape of the car, how that would work aerodynamically, suggests to me that the right side is the front.
I have no idea how the doors are designed on cars in the future ;) and how big the front windshield needs to be depends on how the driver is positioned inside the car. In "normal" cars the driver is seated quite far into the car and thus needs a big windshield to have a good forward view. But this is no normal car and the driver could be seated differently or have every possible view available on computer screens inside the car or whatever. :)

Here's a good thing to know. Antenociti also sells the Bladerunner car he has made (also in resin) but he does not sell it in public (probably due to IP infringements). If you want to order it, contact him and he'll tell you how it goes. Here's a picture:
