Apparently they resigned in March and left back for England. There are several threads on several fora (CMoN, PP, etc.) and it has been confirmed by both.

I sure do hope they will continue working in the business :).

WOW..I meet both of them the last 2 yrs. @ GENCON. I had some great conversations with the both of them, Mike was more into the concepts of the miniatures and of course Ali is an amazing painter...I wish them the best on their next venture! Cheers.

they're both great, I'm sure whatever they decide to do next will be amazing :)

I don't know when it will be, but I'm looking forward to the next time I get to see them, both a lot of fun to talk to!

yep Mikes work has inspired us all..I recall reading a painting guide he did in the late 80's early 90's until it was a a shreded pile of pages.kuddos to them both and whatever comes next.

Ok, lets stop with all the gracious idol talk....I wanna know the scoop?

Were they run out of town? Did Mike have a blowout with Privateer Press?

Come up, I want the skinny!!

from what I've read, it was a work permit issue and a baby issue. They decided to raise the new baby back in England near the family, and not go through the long and expensive headache of renewing a US work permit that ran out in April. From the McVey side of things it seems pretty straightforward...

The real headscratcher from what I've read is why PP first didn't mention this in any way for a couple months, then tried to deny it before finally having to admit it...just seems poorly handled from a PR perspective considering it was probably the 2 most recognized names over there. But I'm sure they'll continue on fine :)

Well....I thought there was more to that. According to the post left by Ali over at CMoN

"So me and my other half have left Seattle to return to England to live. I never went back to painting for for Privateer since having my little boy and Mike cut his ties with the company back in the beginning of march (despite what PP are leading people to believe over on their main boards)."

Sounded like there was more to the story.
