Season 3 rd 3 IRON PAINTER theme and Matchups!!

Hello paint fans!!

So, glad we have finally put that round 2 to bed. It was challenging to say the least. But, onward and upward!

The matchups were randomly drawn and with no more delay, here they are!!

How exciting!

But even more so, is the theme that was randomly drawn:

"SHEER" Madness

The name is just a catchy title...what it means is 'transparancy'. Something see through. How you interpret that is, as always, up to you, but remember...pleasing the judges is always a plus!! Will it be a wet t-shirt? An ice sword, thin clothing?...a cloaking predator?

This theme AIN'T easy!

Can cdukino regain her first round form and crush the competition?
Will Thryth continue on, quietly, and strike like a ninja when necessary?
Can Matty1001 hold off the ignorant bovine? Does Stupidcow's milkshake bring all the boys in the yard?
Will vincegaMer be able to out-theme Jubilee?
Orkydave has to face the new juggernaut Tabstudios again?
Will half the contestants not finish?
Will Duende lose her temper?

Eek! I'm competing against Cindy! I guess that had to happen if I stayed in the competition long enough. :) No shame in loosing to Cindy, though (or Jubilee for that matter :) ).

Well, I've made it through two rounds due to DNF's (directly and indirectly), let's see if I can make it three. :)

@Cindy: It's an honor to compete against you. I'll ask you the same question that I asked Jubilee, mind if your prize is already primed?

well Thryth ... I haven't won yet (do intend to ofcourse) and we were only one point appart in our scoring for round 2.

Don't count on a DNF for me though. I am really liking this theme so i'm definatly gonna finish this one.

But to help you a bit in advance... no i don't mind my price primed if that's what you got.

Well iv made a cracking start, picked the mini, made the base (surprisingly easy, considering how effective it looks) and started cleaning the model up.

well I had this very nice idea... which i can't do. I asked for very specific miniatures which I don't have (and doubt excist). 2 weeks aint enough to sculpt and paint a diorama concisting of 3 figs 2 of which need heavy conversion and one build from scratch... to bad. i think i would have gotten a good theme score with it. Still trying to figure out what to do instead.

Don't worry, il definately enter something, i ain't no DNF pussy (what the hell does DNF stand for anyway?)
And i don't think il play with the theme this time, just some nice garden shears, trimming a hedge should go well with the judges!

Duende, FF, Ritual and Skya, thanks for the time you took to write up and/or score each entry. Todd read me my scores on the hand radio when I was out working. You made a my heavy labor day from hell day seem lighter.

Hubby has become quite attached to it for me.
He says it then giggles...Then he thinks of a way to weasel it into conversation again...hmmmm...
I am thinking his amusement is because I'm so very bull headed.
I am born inn the right month to be bull headed (May)
I am almost proud of this flaw to be honest with myself and you.
Stubborn is useful at times, finishing this mini was one of those stubborn times really.

It is my understanding is that Juggernaut's approach the world with their thick head.
Yeah that is probably why he likes it and giggles.

Off to rummage through my boxes for the mini or minis :D
