Elmore Masterworks Set # 9 - Female Dual Wield Fighter by Larry Elmore
Jeff is getting into his "Dark Sword Groove" - Jeff had to alter the pose a tad to reflect the fact that she is standing on a sloping hill in the artwork.

Visions in Fantasy - Amazon
We are very pleased to have the extremely talented Gael Goumon sculpting miniatures for Dark Sword. He is our first international sculptor. He lives in France. This has been a few years in the making and is now a reality. FYI - We used poster putty to hold the pieces into place for the pic.

Elmore Dragons Set # 4 From - "Strange Companions" by Larry Elmore
Well, we figured it was time to have Mr. Dave Summers tackle another large Elmore Dragon. This is a small step down in terms of overall size and bulk compared to Elmore Dragons Set # 3 (Golden Dragon of Chaos), but a good-sized step up from Elmore Dragons Set # 1 and Elmore Dragons Set # 2. This dragon measures in at 7 & 1/2" (190mm) long and 5 & 1/2" (140mm) tall compared to the Golden Dragon of Chaos which measures in at 9" (228mm) long and 5 & 1/2" (140mm) tall at the highest point on its wings. So this is a very good-sized dragon with lots of bulk to go along with the dimensions.
Dave really did an outstanding job on this piece. Each wing is two pieces that will fit together nicely to give a half folded effect. Larry loves this piece....Full Elmore artwork is down below with zoom-in shots to show the dragon details as the artwork is large.

Great miniatures as usual but these guys should really stop making these HORRIBLE bases. I hate cutting/sawing/snipping away bases and these look buttugly.

I'm just not a fan of the cookie cutter 'D&D' look. It may have worked in the 80's but it just seems a tired cliche now.

The sculpting is superb, but its just the subject matter that is so boring to me....But, there is obviously a market for this sort of thing...so I say 'viva la difference'...

I agree with Jim here... great sculpting but they do nothing for me. They look like they have walked straight out of the covers of the cheesiest fantasy novels. You know, those fantasy novels that look like a cross over between real fantasy and romance books...

I'll have to chime in.
Elmore's women always make me a little sad - in particular the skimpy clothes and pin-up poses, combined with bland good looks and 80's hair-dos.

They look like day-time soap opera actresses wearing costumes that someone with no grasp of fantasy would expect fantasy clothing to look like.

I'm not 100% sure these are integral bases, Dark Sword had been moving over to the bases as separate pieces recently, and these all look to me like they could be done with pegged feet. Dunno for sure, though. I think Sue did an excellent job with that dragon, I particularly like the way the scales came out, and the eyes.

Am I the only Wyrdo that likes Dark Sword? ;-> The dual wield fighter is a little too outthrust chest cheesecake for me (that's the art as much or more than the sculpt), but I really like the other two a lot. Now I'm going to go pretend that it's not weird that guy posters are going 'blech, cheesecake' and I'm saying 'hey, looks good'...

I like some of their stuff. My girlscout is a DS mini and she was lots of fun to paint.

I keep thinking that thief needs something in her hand besides that knife to suit the pose. Maybe a big spoon...

There are definately pieces from Darksword that I really like, but in general it's because Tom Meier sculpted them. :) Jeff Grace looks like he could pick up the quality of the line as I never was a fan of Dennis Mize.

I like parts of the line. I'm not as opposed these, as other people seem to be. That being said, I also do not own any of their miniatures.

I think they are really good myself quality wise and do make excellent rpg minis.I would say I dont have any at the moment but would be interested in getting some now they sell in single packs.
