Perhaps you've heard about Crocodile Games' forthcoming Olympus range... this is the biggest project that Crocodile Games has ever undertaken -- in constant development for the last 3 years, these amazing miniatures are finally ready to take the world by storm. The first faction that we'll be making available is the Spartans, the red-cloaked warriors of Lakedaemon, unsurpassed in all the world for their iron discipline in an Age of bronze!

The initial wave of Spartans includes the following miniatures:

WGO-001 Spartan Hoplite Booster (2)

But that is not all! The Spartan army will include other exciting miniatures, including a Chariot, peltasts, named characters from the pages of history & mythology, and more! All due for release by the summer of 2007 (and we're not kidding this time!) Basically, if you want to play Spartans, whether for WarGods or for historicals, Crocodile Games has the best, the baddest, coolest army of them around. And we'll even sell you 300!

We have had a lot of requests in the last few days to put these miniatures into our online store -- the good news is that we will be adding them to the Croc Store the first week in April, for pre-orders only. The Spartans are due to be shipped worldwide to stores and distributors in May, and all pre-ordered miniatures will be shipped at the same time.

Until then, be sure to come back next Sunday, for another exciting preview of the best Greek miniatures to come along in 2,000 years!

Good stuff, though in the drawing, the leader appears to be holding a tool to restart the furnaces. What is that supposed to be?

I think they have been hanging on a bit to collaborate with the 300 release.

Still May? Egads...they sure like building drama for their products.

yeah, hmm, they have it all done and still waiting months to actually release it, I mean sure it feels fast for them, but their business model is a bit rediculous.

The minis seem a bit stiff to me, they'll make fine game pieces, but I don't see these really turning into any great display pieces

I have to admit they do very little for me. Maybe they are putting these out for preorder and viewing to ride on the succes of 300?
