I don't think I saw any of this on here as yet, my apologies if I'm passing along old news. This is from an email update.

Mega Miniatures 2007 schedule

As many of you know we have been in the midst of a down size. We were growing very rapidly in 2006 but then the last quarter of 2006 it seemed that the distribution system was having a crisis and the vast majority of distributors were not restocking Mega Miniatures products that they were out of causing cashflow problems. It’s not entirely their fault, the market has slowed and continues to slow. They too are struggling to collect on bad debt.

On January 4th 2007 we made some hard decisions for the 2007 season. They are as follows…

TRAVELLER license (ships have gone to Ad Astra game company)
MegaMinis.com will be selling the VARGR direct to consumers. It will be a limited edition of 200 numbered packs and should hit our shopping cart in about 30 days time. As soon as a picture is available we will be taking pre-orders. All other Traveller figures are discontinued, some stock remains at distributors so ask your local hobby store.

NEW PRODUCTS will continue to come out from Mega Miniatures but only every OTHER month (6 times a year) starting in June 2007. This will allow for distributors to place restocks at a gradual pace while picking up the new releases. Areas we will continue to expand are the ANIMALS series, DUNGEON and URBAN DÉCOR series and the FANTASY and MODERN multi-pack series. There will also be the addition of a Sci-Fi multi-pack series introduced in the fall of 2007.

HOBBY STORES have done a tremendous job of carrying our products in North America. We can’t thank them enough but the fact remains we were unable in our first TWO years of being distributed to break into the European market with any success. And that is a shame because we are always asked by fellow gamers across the atlantic where they can obtain Mega Miniatures in Europe. So we have launched a SHOPPING CART at www.MegaMinis.com (http://www.wyrd-games.net/www.MegaMinis.com) where our products and bits and parts can be purchased direct. This cart is operated by our parent company www.DiscountHobby.com (http://www.wyrd-games.net/www.DiscountHobby.com) now both at one location. Note the PAYPAL payment option is experiencing problems and we are trying to resolve it. We also have an ebay store at http://stores.ebay.com/MegaMiniatures (http://stores.ebay.com/MegaMiniatures)

GIANTS series 10019 through 10022 have all been discontinued. Again, some distributors and stores may have some inventory remaining but we stopped shipping them last month. The MOLDS and production rights for these and other Mega Miniatures products will be offered on ebay. More in the next paragraph.

MOLDS FOR SALE we have hundreds of molds that were purchased from other companies, most of them we never put into production and do not fit our current lineup of upcoming products. Once a week we will be selling them off along with world wide production rights and full color tiff images at reasonable prices. It will take approximately 2 years to move these molds. If you own a Centrifugal Spin Casting machine, the vast majority of these molds are Fantasy and 9 inches. Currently up on auction are GHOST GIANT $299 ebay.com item 140097044715 and undead Western Gunfighters x 5 $499 ebay.com item 140096125736.

e-NEWSLETTER will talk about new products added to www.discounthobby.com (http://www.wyrd-games.net/www.discounthobby.com) and new molds at auction on ebay. The e-newsletter will be sent TWICE monthly.

ARMORCAST and GRENDEL resins was one of the unfortunate victims of our cut backs. Without support we don’t want to put our company too far into debt over acquiring these companies. All Armorcast molds have been shipped back to Tim DuPertuis the original owner and will not go into production by Mega Miniatures. Grendel offerings will be produced and then at the end of 2007 we will ship back those molds to Scotia Grendel and discontinue them.

OPEN ART LICENSE will continue to be offered but less frequently. We will be posting some new images to that section as soon as we have completely moved to our new location a smaller facility 3 miles down the road. No new free PDF vehicles are in the works currently but we are not giving up on them just delaying their creation till 2008.
Already 2007 sales have been strong for us. We look forward to a bright future on your gaming table!
