Congratulations to each and every one of you! If you see your name above, please send a PM to Frustrated Father (http://wyrd-games.net/private.php?do=newpm&u=1) here on the site and give me your address and all the details that I need for shipping your package. Read that last sentence again - PM me, don't e-mail me, PM me. It is how I keep track of information and e-mails are liable to get mixed up amongst the hundred or so I get a day. Even if you think that I already have this information, please send it. It helps me organize things on this end and confirms that your package is sent to your current address. Please be aware that I can not spend a grossly large amount of time in trying to contact folks who do not send their information to me as has been the case multiple times in past contests. If you want your goodies drop me a line.

The Wyrd Painting Contest prize packages are sent at my expense, and happily so, but as you can see above, there are quite a few packages to send out. In order to make this as cost effective as possible, I ship everything 'slow boat', meaning the cheapest cost. If you are interested in upgrading your package to priority or airmail for overseas, you are free to make a donation of $3USD to the shipping fund via paypal (nathan@wyrd-games.net (nathan@wyrd-games.net)). Keep in mind now, that this is COMPLETELY optional, this isn't a 'pad my pockets' scheme, its just available for those of you that want your goodies quicker. Either way, I will be sending out your package at my cost. If your package has any of those in it and you want faster shipping, I will let you know and we'll make arrangements.

Wyrd Miniatures also extends a very large thanks to our prize sponsors who have gone out of their way to help this happen and to get some goodies to you. You can find their banners, and the links to their sites, to the left. Please take the time to visit their sites and to also let them know how much you appreciate their sponsorhip! It helps hearing 'thank you' from participants to sponsorers more than you can possibly believe.

Till next time!

Woohoo! :1:

I am most happy with the results. I painted the duel in the weekend before the deadline as I wanted to enter something (it had been way too long since the last contest I entered in) and I had this scene in my head for ages. I am very happy that I went forward and did it. Although the painting could be better, I am very happy with the composition and the way it worked out. It was in fact my first ever diorama/duel!
Thanks to everybody who voted and commented...much appreciated!

And congratulations to all other winners and especially to Ana for the big BoS award!

Til' Total Testosterone!

Polls should be viewable now - forgot to enable the viewing of that as I see it, but that's cause I'm the admin.

Sooooo, having the polls hidden help out this time? I know that was a reason for a ton of angst last time about.

It's been said before, but congrats to all the winners, and a big thank-you for everyone that made the competition possible.

Yes, I think this is the way to go - keep the results hidden until the contest is over and the winners are announced.

Definitely the fair way.

As far as I know Ana thought that rating photos should be disabled too, because it might encourage or discourage people to vote on some entries. Well, I agree this leaves some room for manipulating public opinion ;)

Wow I'm surprised to know the outcome of the category I entered (fantasy) as there were some really good entries. A very big thank you for your votes & comments on both my entries and for making one of them a winner.

Congrats Anna for winning the BOS & Poupee Canope for winning with his totally wicked entry (was my favourite) and also all other winners.

Good job organizers & sponsors!

Congratulation to all, winners and not! :)
A great competition, organized at best!
I like very much the mini of Ana who won the sword, but I must also say that Alice of poupeč canope is one of the best mini ever made in this world and was my favourite (as i was sure it would be a sword!) !
Simply perfect!
But i loved also the concubine of ritual and the nyss sorceress of Gunjy!
But congratulation to all!!!!!!

I'll echo the congrats to everyone that won. There were some great entries this time around. Thanks to everyone that commented on my entry as well--it is one of the reasons I try and enter the Wyrd contests whenever I can; the feedback is invaluable.

Congrats to everyone. And, yeah Jw, by the end of the voting period (I did the math) the entries averaged 26.3 comments each. You can't get that much feedback even at CMON. I think that's one of my favorite things about Wyrd contests.

So when's the next one? ;)

Congrats to everyone, including, and especially, the folks who did all that commenting, it really is invaluable and appreciated! And kudos to FF for the schmuck and voter prizes, which I think really do help motivate entering and commenting. I think of that less as bribery and more as recognizing that it's not just the most prettily painted stuff that contributes to the fun of a contest like this.

I didnt enter but I too would like to say thanks to everyone, ESPECIALLY the sponsors, Im delighted that there is so much support for these contests to keep carrying on and find it amazing that these relatively small companies put back into the hobby that they love.

Hello !

thank you guys for taking time to comment and vote my entry, I've really appreciated it.

congratulations to all the winners and especially to Ana for her delightful artemis, the high contrasts style is not my "cup of tea" but without any doubt it's a brilliant paint job on an amazing model.
A well deserved Best of Show in my opinion.

congrats also to Nathan and the Wyrd Miniatures staff for organizing such funny and exciting events.
sadly my limited English prevent me from participating more actively to the contest (as for the forum and the comments part) but I've really enjoyed it.

see you on Femme Fatale III ! :)

see you on Femme Fatale III ! :)

I think your English is fine, even better than some native speakers I know. ;)

And come back for the Total Testosterone and Rotten Harvests, after your entry for the FFII, I'd love to see you enter more contests that happen around here several times a year.

:D

Congrats to everyone. I didn't have the time to ente a mini although i did have one primed and ready to paint!
I also didn't manage to comment on many (very few actually!) due to not having much time. But i have had a good look through and the quality of the stuff is fantastic.

Agreed, much better. Now all we really need is a way to wieght the votes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and I'll be a happy camper, er painter.

That I don't believe will ever happen without some serious money invested in hiring a coder. Feel free to contribute to the slush fund for one though.

Once I get some more free time, I'll take a look at it. Things are crazy busy at the office of late, though.

I really enjoyed voting and commenting on the miniatures, especially since I won a prize for doing so. It was also a good opportunity to see a lot of different minis and rate how my own painting is coming along. I'm far from ready to enter anything in a contest, but I like looking and voting.

I think people should have shown a bit more love for gi6ers Dwarf World entries, but you can't have everything you want. Those sculpts are awesome.

Thanks all. Especially you, Nathan, for organizing this contest. Sponsors - because they offer cool things for us to win :)
Everybody who entered - because it's the people who make a contest a success or a failure.
And especially everybody who cared to comment. One doesn't see this many comments even on CMON these days. Thanks a lot!

Congratulations to winners in every single category, especially to Poupee Canope for this wonderful Alice - my favorite for the best of show! Great job.
And good luck to everybody in next contests :)

Congratulations Eastman. Nice referee chick.

By the way, FF, Fantasy #14 isn't identified. I still want to know why she has lines on her chin. Who did it?

Wren

Jubilee posted a link to the cover art on which Fantasy #14 was based in the comments under it so you can see the original source it's modeled on, lines and all.
