Well I have her painted, managed to log on ok (which is a big achievement for a technophobe!) but I can't for the life of me figure out where or how to upload my entry!!!

Pictures say 1000 words...

Simple steps to uploading:

1. Go to main Gallery page

2. Click Upload Photos as seen in image below:

3. On the next page, use the dropdown menu to choose your category and the rest should be self-explanatory.

Hope that clears it up for you! Good Luck in the contest, and remember, you can always end up being a Random Schmuck!

Copied this into its own thread as its a good example on how to upload your entries. The contest is set on moderation, and after a small snaffu on my part, is now set that no one can see the gallery itself in order to keep things anonymous (otherwise it allowed you to know the title and the person that uploaded something but not see the picture - silly software).

Anyhow, as above, for this contest and all future ones, simply go to UPLOAD and then choose the contest and category which you wish to upload your entry.

Thanks Michelle for the visual.

Aye

Bum, I hit return and just posted "AYE"! Sorted now thanks to the amazing "edit" button!

Anyway, Aye, I noticed that yesterday that you could see who had uploaded into the gallery, and what they had written about their mini but thought that I would have embarrassed myself by pointing it out and realising it was me being stupid rather than a software error.

Turns out it was the computer that was wrong! Woohoo, 1 - nil to the humies!

I wondered how I started a thread without starting a thread.

I noticed that yesterday too! I was going to say something but I see FF beat me to the punch. Good, since I'll be getting my first entry in as soon as I take some pics of it.

Is there a way to see what I've uploaded? I just uploaded one and now I'm having a paranoia attack that I uploaded the wrong version of the file (I made changes to the model before entering it). Arg! Nathan, if I PM you the file name, can you check which one I uploaded?

I'm also not positive I've uploaded all of the entries I have here.

Yeah, a preview page in between would really be nice.

It would be nice - not that the coders could pull their heads out of their asses long enough to design one I'm of the opinion. When finances and time become a little better I'll see if I can find someone for the job.

What if it generated a confirmation email "a file named such and such was uploaded to this gallery today"?

I'll take a look into it - one more thing to add to the list. :D

It's funny to see others suffer the "did it get sent" paranoia, that used to plague me. Sorry folks, I feel your pain. But Nathan being the outstanding person that he is, will probably make things right if you have fubared something. Good night all...

sniff, sniff......

I think I smell iron....... :-)

I posted my entry into the correct gallery but my name is showing under it, not FF as usual. I can't seem to remove the photo either?

What have I done wrong? If anything?
I don't want to be disqualified!?

...................and now all the categories are up.

Remember folks, once you upload it, you will NOT see it. If you're worried that it didn't go through, holler at me in a PM. Long as you keep up within the guidelines though (size, etc) then you shouldn't have any problems.

When it comes down to it though, we do allow for a day after the contest deadline is met for everyone to make certain that your pieces made it up, etc. If not, holler at me, I can then follow through the backend and see when the last time was that you tried to upload something, etc, and if its within the deadline set, then we'll take care of you.

We haven't had any problems though in quite a few contests, I just put this up to assure folks we'll take care of ya.
