I'd rather wait for Tannhäuser :

There's a downloadable PDF on the bottom right part of the page that shows a fair bit of the contents of the game.

I am very excited for Tannhauser! Hopefully the English version is right around the corner. The minis are very cool.

Sorry, me again....
Even at half price, the above game looks a little spendy for just card tiles. If it just had a handful of plastic minis or something. BUT...it does look kind of fun.

Is Tanhauser the german word for disappointment? We got a copy at the office and the minis are light years away from what's shown on their website, not to mention the quality of the various parts contained in the box could be improved.
I'll post pics of the Tanhauser minis if people are interested...
All in all, not quite worth the price of the game, at least material-wise. I admit we haven't tried it yet, but it's not in Asmodee US 2007 catalog, so don't hold your breath...

Concerning Tannhäuser :
1. "Take On You" is producing them; I haven't heard that Asmodée was in the deal ...;
2. The minis, for now, will only be sold in the box game because it's a board game, not a wargame. They come prepainted. You can always repaint them if you don't like it ;);
3. Sculptors like Cyril Abati (he did the woman with the dynamite and some others) did the minis. I think that's a fair bit of quality.
A few pic of the sculpts:

1- Asmodee is distributing Take On You in France, and there was talk about Asmodee US distributing them on this side of the ocean...
2- For the average player, I suppose they'd look ok, but for anyone who paints minis, they require re-painting.
3- The sculpts aren't at fault, the paint job is, along with the game boards (as much as I like glossy finishes, it obscures some of the details, which would've made their nice looking boards even better. I'm also a bit miffed at the fact that there's ever only one way to assemble the tiles to do the game board. Lacks variety.) and the character files (made flimsy to the point where if you look carefully, you can see where the edges are glued), not to mention the dice (there's 2d10 included in the box, the game requires at LEAST 3d10 per roll). At the price of the game (approx 50 Euros) I'd expect better. The sculpts are really okay as far as I'm concerned - there are a few mold lines here and there, and the fact that they're plastic means that they're usually bent and go back to their bent position when you try and set them straight.
Oh, and that shot from CmoN? They've been repainted - the paint job the minis come with don't have that amount of detail. It's basically a single basecoat, with a bit of drybrushing here and there.
