I'd say right around the time the FEMME FATALE contest gets over with...
Frustrated Father
01-09-2007, 11:27 PM
Which would be around mid February if Jim holds to the above schedule and I'll likely plan another Wyrd Painting Contest after the Iron Painter in order to keep things jumping but not lapping over as well.
I'm kind of jonesing for a IP as well to be honest.

Yeah, after Femme Fatale 2 would be fine! I will volounteer as judge again, of course!

Yeah, I WOULD volunteer as judge too, but I got plans to whip everyone this time round so judging may not be the best route to take. Come on the IRON!

Actually isn't that the only way you could win? :vb_devil:

As much as I'd like to participate in the Iron Painter, I don't think I'll have the time to do so due to other painting commitments. :D
I can volunteer to be a judge, though.

yep, I know I'm looking forward to it also, although not sure if I want to try to commit the time to participate or sit back and get to judge. Crushing dreams is so fun! :D
I do know however, I have a little something in mind to donate as a prize to the cause to up the ante a little bit ;)

Well, maybe stop wiffle-waffling over it and decide already so vike can get a replaccement judge if he needs to! I've already sent him my resumé and apparently have to beat out flynn for your job. ;)

I have no resume to send. :-p
Unless there's some C++ development involved, I don't know that I have any qualifications as a painting judge.
*cackles maniacly!*
Ok, I'm done now. I miss my Iron Painter too, but given how sick I've been I'm not sure I'll be up for the next one. Here's hoping.

If supervike & his bunch of lakeys can be a judges, I dun see why you'll need any qualifications to judge the Iron painter contest. A calculator is all you need.

01-11-2007, 09:14 PM
As far as I know, the only things you need to be able to judge is the ability to see, able to type semi-coherently, and able to count to ten. I'm fairly certain the other judges can do that much (although I'm still wondering...).
Hey and I can accept bribes as well as any of the others too!

Well, I do have a math degree, but we usually only got up to 7 in my classes. 10 is a bit of a stretch.

Really? 'Cause I seem to recall there was some kind of counting error or something in the last IP. Run out of fingers and toes, perhaps? :tongue1:

Jim counts in metric and forgot to convert his numbers in the last IP.
Yep. ;)

Depending on which backwater he comes from we could have a very strange number of fingers and toes!

I have the right number of fingers (6) and toes (7) on each limb, thank you. Its the webbing in between which causes me the frustration.

Dear Mr. Vike
So I've decided that it's not real fair to sit here holding a judges spot while considering dropping the role in order to participate next round. Especially considering the rigorous selection process for replacement and extensive training and conditioning required to replace me :D
I'm just going to say now that you should find a replacement in the judging department. I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to participate yet, that'll be a game time decision but I'm leaning towards it. :)
Best regards,
EricJ, former Judge

Ah...I certainly accept your resignation, but will hope you return as judge somewhere down the road. You are definately my favorite of the three. (unless the other two are reading, in which case substitute their names as my favorite).
If you do become an Iron Painter, best of luck!

I am still getting used to where to find stuff (past threads) - but I think I have the gist of the competition. Sounds awesome.... 2 weeks huh? I can see me telling the boss now...
"ummmm sorry for the trouble - but I need the next two days off - see I entered this painting contest and the deadline is this weekend...and as it normally takes me 6 weeks to finish a mini, I am running a bit behind schedule......"
Let me get through FFII and see where I'm at then - but it sounds like a lot of fun!
