Hi all.
Well everyone is doing it so I though I might as well join the club and show off miniatures.

My first as a fairly recent paintjob. Not something I plan to put on cmon. 15mm scale doesn't do well there for some reason most of the time.
Yes she is 15 mm. A demonworld figure sculpted by Werner Klocke. I just love this scale.

I'm very please with the smoothness and the face (especially proud of the eyes) The "nmm" is rather well :tongue2: . I might touch that up someday. Doesn't look metally at all, hence the "-s
Hope you guys like her.

Nice. I think I would be driven insane trying to paint something that small. Hell for that matter, I don't know how people actually sculpt 32mm miniatures, much less give anything 15mm any details.

oooh, pretty cindy, nice work on such a small girl! The more I look at these 15mm figures, the more I'm itching to try one...maybe I'll find time before the end of the year! Although I guess at that size they can't take forever to paint.

Cindy, post some drawings too, I like those lots!

oh, and your paintings :)

Like this?

15mm sorceress (the cast top left is an actual 15mm demonworldfig for size comparison) I sculpted a while back. To bad they are relatively expensive to cast while they don't make a lot of profit if at all selling usually. Can't use them for my own line when It comes or I would have made some... but I sure enjoyed sculpting 15mm.

Didn't name my thread Miniatures and THINGS for nothing. Leaves room for stuff like that. ;)

And yeah a plus about 15mm figs is that they don't take nearly as long as a 28mm fig painted in the same quality. They are great in between projects.

Excellent work.

I still love 15mm figs and must get around to sculpting that range of 15mm characters I so want to do. Tough to get around to it though. Serious minority interest. Sure isn't going to pay the bills...

One day though...

Very nice, Cindy!! Amazing how much detail you get into such small minis. I can't even imagine trying to sculpt something that small, and I'd go blind trying to paint it.

Nice stuff!

I can't believe that sculpt is 15mm....is that easier to sculpt than 28mm? I would think it would be harder teh smaller you go.

Good stuff!

Top stuff as usual Cindy! I really like the tiny minis, I've only painted reaper and GW familiars which are kind of the same size (ish). Great fun.

I don't think it's easier or harder really. Speaking for myself that is. Just smaller in general so you adjust the level of detailing to it. But on 28mm scale I can have detailing that's smaller than detailing in the 15mm ones. Unfortunatly half the size doesn't mean half the time in sculpting though. Sculpting a 15mm scale head takes easily as long as sculpting a 28mm one for instance.

This was harder though (10mm scale). Iris the sea fairy

Especially the face was hard to do... but I tried to get in the same level of sharpness as I'm able to in the 28mm figs I sculpt. Painting it wasn't much easier. Taking a picture even harder. The paintjob on her lip seems smeared... but that's a trick of the camera, not something that's there in rl:

If you ever get round to sculpting them I'd definatly wanna buy a few from you. Make it females too then... very seriously lack in female 15mm figs.

Well, I've done Shae in 30mm and 54mm so.... hmm

And I know what you mean about 10mm. It's the scale where it really starts to get tough. Sculpting the Warmaster Dark Elves at 10mm was a nightmare at times. Nearly drove me mad sculpting the Witch Elves.

What I want to know is how the hell did you do the eyes? I have serious trouble doing eyes on 28mm figs

That tiny water fairy is really cute. I'm imaging a little swarm of them around a 28mm mermaid figure. Hmmm..... :hmmmm:

Anyway, we've seen your miniatures, now where's your "things"?

Fresh from the press... finished 30 minutes ago. Meet Susan and her pet griffin Grumps (I recon she's very hard to sculpt but I might give it a try... She would work as Mabel's (Mabel) (http://www.coolminiornot.com/37007 ) or Eric's (Eric) (http://www.coolminiornot.com/90920 ) sister .

Sweet drawings. I am waiting on some artbooks to arrive so I can start focusing on my anatomy.

I love this pic right above me.

Susan is really cute as a button! I like the griffon she's got too.:girl:

Your other picture makes me wonder if you use live models for any of your drawings?? :fing02:

Hahaha... no, noone poses for me. But if there are any takers :D I had no Argus model (the dude louncing)... unfortunatly I might add ;) I did have some nude drawing lessons (the model not me... just to clear that up ;) ) in my life though... 5 times a woman once a man (and apparently the myth about dark skinned men was true in his case... was rather ... distracting ;) to bad the rest of the man wasn't much to look at (hmmm that came out wrong, not meaning I just stared at his... ah never mind)
