Oh no! My favorite's out! :bawling:

Well, it was a great run for Skya, but now I suppose I'll have to pick a new favorite for this next round... hmmm, maybe a mentally-challenged bovine. ;)

Congrats to the winners!!

Congrats people, almost at the business end of things now.

I have to admit to being a very naughty boy as I have not coughed up my mini for being such a damn loser last round. It will be packaged to today and sent Monday I promise!

Congrats to all those who made it to rd 4. As for those who didn't, I think it must have been a very good learning experience as well so everyone should be happy at the end of the day.

I was glad I had the chance to be up against the former champ and lost to a wonderfully done entry. I consider myself very lucky to be still around so be assured I'll try my best to be in this as long as I could.

For the guy in the big girls blouse, sorry to see you go as I was hoping we get paired somewhere down the road but its not to be. Maybe next season.:wavey:

Wow, that is not what I was expecting at all! My congrats to the winners of this round, but also to everyone who made it this far. I dunno about everyone else, but I've definitely been starting to see where the Iron part comes into Iron painter the last couple rounds. I feel very honoured to have had the opportunity to compete against you Skya, and look forward to a future Season, where I would not expect this outcome to be repeated if we're matched again.

NOOOOOOO....!!!! Now I'll have to change my sig...

I hate you Stupidcow! If only I'd have gotten the chance to get paired to you!!
Next time, SC, next time!!! (does this mean I can go dancing and singing with Callumrice??)

Still, some very good entries this round, congrats to the winners!

Lol, nice Maestro. I have to admit you were secretly who I predicted to win after your round 1 mini, you just let us all down! ;)

Nice bunch of minis everyone, it's really getting down to it now, all the entries are top notch!

Sorry folks...I had meant to have a few fun filled scoring facts and the 'score cards' posted but I had been working out of town all week, and had to drive home 300 miles in a nasty snow storm....but excuses are for wimps, right? Anyhow, I had tabulated the scores and all, and had planned on telling you all who was the high scorer on this, or that. Well, I rushed out of the hotel this morning, and promptly forgot my notes.....So, I think I'll just give you some overall impressions...

Anyhow, the new matchups are posted here:

This has been a very interesting Iron Painter contest so far.

Our defending queen, Skya, was dethroned by a strong surge from Wren,

Lavon Yor quietly finds himself in to the semi-finals. I am sure he will be garning more attention now.

Second Chancer Stupid Cow now finds himself against the incredibly powerful Beezlebrush. Beezlebrush was the highest scoring of all the entries this time, and has gathered steam with each entry.

My compliments also go out to War Griffon, even though he didn't finish, had a really good reason! (aboard a rocking ship is not condusive to painting!)

Also a special note to Sculpta The Squig...who is much younger than I thought, and did a damn fine job of presenting himself. Well done!!

Maestro (john) was one of the most entertaining contestants...A great smack talker, but he could back it up with great brushwork!

Finally, Skya had a wonderful run. Each submission surpassing the last, very innovative and always had a wonderful take on the theme.

All of you deserve a special clap on the back, just for being able to maintain this type of high level on such a quick turnaround. WELL DONE!!

Here are the offical score cards....Feel free to recheck my math, and let me know ASAP if there are any errors.

Sorry guys/gals work got the better of me this round as it was hard to stand let alone think of painting in a force 8 off the top of Scotland. Congrats to all who got through and Lavon Yor I have PM'd you :)

I have enjoyed the competition though, so maybe next time the timing will be better and I will be home a bit more aften rather than have to try and get my entry posted via a third party which cuts a chunk off the deadline making it shorter and also not the best way of taking photo's I can tell you when you have to try and cut out ship vibration and contend with the sea :)

Ach what ye moaning about wargriffon, most scots have force 8 coming out their rear end after a haggis or two!

On a serious note, its not the prettiest up here just now, bad weather all round really.Glad I aint the only one putting up with it.

Not moaning I enjoy the rough weather as it means I get left alone to get on with my own work instead of everybody elses. it does have a serious impact on painting though. Ben Nevis without snow in late October on the other hand is not good in any bodies books least of all mine going over that damned boulder field is hard on the toes without the cushion of snow :)
