No pictures yet but I have picked out what I am going to paint and what the freehand will be.
I decided on a tattoo and so needed something with some bare skin. The tattoo is going to be a stylised dragon (read incomprehensible blotch). The only figure I have that is even half way suitable is a plastic GW beastman. I have carved the fur from around its neck and off its back. That will give me a bigish area to work on.
I have decided my best bet for smoothness is to paint the tattoo style onto the base flesh coat. That way I can make corrections before I start highlighting/shading and hopefully I can end up with a smoother finish.
I still have to finish my GD entry - due in next saturday, so progress will be slow until then I think.
