Got no clue what this is - Tyranid I expect, but it was showcased at the GD UK yesterday and thought some of you GW fans may enjoy it. Going to be from forgeworld apparently, which means its going to cost atleast an arm, if not a leg.

I saw this yesterday but did not get a chance to get near the designers to talk about it. Imperial Armour vol 4 is going to be another campaign book which features nids so there may be something in that about it.

Only and arm and a leg?? That's cheap for them! I thought their prices were hovering around the first-born child range now.

you know, I never really thought forgeworld was all that bad. Sure they're expensive, but they're doing really nice quality work that is only really interesting to a limited audience (painters usually). So they can't reduce costs due to volume.

I like their stuff, and I'm glad they're around, even at these prices

Forgeworld prices are high, but if you ever check out some of the 'Garage Model' kits (usually horror movie/comic book/naked ladies fare, the prices are almost right in line. Many of those kits are vinyl or resin, usually bigger scales. They still look very fun to paint, I'd love to see some mini painters take some of these on someday.

I am a fan of Forgeworld stuff, and have several of the kits (mostly the fantasy buildings) but I also have the Chaos War Mammoth (my all time fave!!) and the Bloodthirster Demon (also very cool). Maybe one day, I will actually paint them....maybe.

Yes, it's a Tyranid Trigon. It was featured in the Epic 40000 wargame (6mm scale). Basically it's a giant snake with claws that can generate electric arcs with those claws.

I can't afford the Forgeworld stuff, but I certainly would buy some given the opportunity.

Hell, I can't afford regular GW!

FW making big 'nids? This means the price of classic big 'nid models from Amorcast (malefactor, haruspex and exocrine) is going to rise dramatically on Ebay... and me without any of these models yet.... been sleeping when I shoulda been bidding....
