Hi there!
On MaxPaint we've got a german tutorial 'bout making a photo-diffusion-box. With that you can take photos without any troublesome reflections. Is there are general interest for an english translation? I think the box is very useful and if there are enough painters who want it to be translated, I'm going to prefer it (I'm currently translating the "Grundlagen" (Basic) Tutorial I wrote)
You can have a look at the article here: http://www.maxpaint.de/kb.php?mode=article&k=12
I think you can understand what the article is about on the basis of the pics - I hope so ;)

Looks good! I'd like to see a proper translation. Photography and lighting are such big piece of this hobby now days, this can only help.

I'm jealous of someone elses setup! That is a nice looking tutorial from what I could translate and from the pictures. I for one would be interested in seeing it.

I don't want to sound rude, but isn't that basically the very same article as this one (http://www.dragon-miniatures.com/tips.php?page=diffusion)? Why do all the work when it's already available? ;)

Valloa construted a similar one, but with 4 sides. Not sure where her instructions came from, but it works great. I like the front opening in both of these sites given

Yes, you're rigth! Didn't know that (although Marc quoted, that this article was the source of his own one). So forget that translation. :)

That diffusion box is great, is cheap, and looks rather easy to make.
I bought a 'light tent' on e-bay that works very similar, is collapsable, and was rather reasonable. I paid 30 bucks for a rather large one 12"X16". A nice alternative to someone who'd rather not build thier own.

I went the same route SV - made things a LOT better. Before that I was using a milk jug that I had cut in half and taped some paper into. Was a pathetic sight I must say. :D
