Wyrd Miniatures is heading off to GENCON INDY August 10th - 13th, though we'll be heading out of town two days earlier in order to facilitate travel and setting up the booth.

Stop by and visit us in booth 1613 which we'll be sharing with Crunch Waffle Miniatures and check out our wares, as well as display case full of painted goodies from Eric Johns (EricJ) and Anders Eklund (Ritual). Eric Johns will be flying from California to help man the booth and paint miniatures in his spare time (hopefully little! mean of me isn't it!). Also on hand we should have nine miniatures from our upcoming Catacomb Prowlers line which we'll be releasing at GenCon in limited numbers (due to casting deadlines). This line is meant to be a bit more fun and over the top and hopefully meets with your approval.

Lastly, Eric has painted up another 'Viktoria - Sword Mistress' like his original studio production and for every $25 spent at the Wyrd Miniatures GenCon booth, you will be entered into a raffle to win the painted miniature. You can be entered into the contest multiple times per every $25 ($52 - two tickets, $148 - five tickets). The winner of the raffle will be contacted via phone or e-mail and can pick up the studio painted miniature on Sunday at the closing of GenCon, or the miniature will be safely packaged and shipped at our expense.

Orders placed during the week of GenCon will continue to go out as normal. If you can't make it, feel free to place an order, it'll still get shipped promptly!

Stop by, say hello and let us know how we're doing!

I wish I could be there in person. Ah, well... at least my presence is represented by my paintjobs.

Just a note on this! the photo is of the first viktoria I did, the 2nd one is done in exactly the same style/colors, but may not look quite the same, since it's not the same mini, lol.

Didn't I say that above? :D Still, good to point out, but yes, I've seen the little girl, she's quite pretty! She'll be at display at GenCon.

And ... I'm off! Whoohooo ... 4 hours of sleep, eight hours of driving to Cincinnatti for a tour of Iron Wind Metals and some casts, additional two hour drive to Indianapolis, a hotel for a few hours, and then to pick up Eric at the airport at 1am in the morning.

I'm so gonna crash ...

Its a shame I wasnt more active on this site at that point. I loved the products you had displayed and ended up picking up a bunch of minis. Oh well-next year then.

Although I think i might have met Wren there when I hung around the Reaper Mini paint tables..but who knows.

Was this possible me you met average height, fat, paleish, wearing glasses and with dark brown (some will say black, but some are wrong) hair either in a ponytail about three feet long or up in a severe stereotypical librarian bun? If so, that might indeed have been me. :->

I think FF expressed every intention of going next year, bigger and better, even, so hopefully you will have the opportunity to meet up then.

Oh yeah, unless something drastic happens, we're already planning for Gen Con 07.

Well, I got drafted into helping at the Free Mini painting thing...if that helps? Maybe I should just volunteer for it so I get actual advantage out of it.

Ill be there in '07 as well-might even have an artists booth :)

Ooooo thanks for reminding me. I need to talk to barbra about the possibilities of getting things set up so that miniatures painters and sculptors can exhibit in the art show.

Yep, I think I remember you Alaric. I wasn't drafted, but I did just volunteer spur of the moment at the Con. I've signed up for the volunteers email list so I expect I'll be volunteering in a slightly more organized fashion next year.

I know it's a bit late off, but are there any photos from your presence at GenCon?

I know there were some photos... I have a couple of my painted minis saved on my hard drive at home. And there were a couple of Nathan as well (but I didn't save those... ). I don't remember where I got them from though...

Once again the biggest miniatures convention will be upon us...and basically in my backyard. I can't wait to meet everybody and have a great time.

Let's see... Herne is... here.... Indianapolis... here...

If I start walking now I might make it.

...think I could sue Falk for selling me a map I don't like? "Your honour, I was trying to attend GenCon, only to have my hopes and dreams crushed by the Falk company!"
