Reaper has had a line of 54mm "Master Series" miniatures in the works for a while now. They've added some pics of two of these minis to their gallery.
Enough jabbering, here's the pics:
Queen of the Jungle by Gene Van Horne (expected release August)

Belladonna, Salvager by James Van Schaik (expected release October)

They are not entirely bad, but frankly... they need to do better than that to see any of my money! I expect these will cost a far bit and there's a lot better quality stuff out there. These are too boring and generic and the sculpting quality, while looking professional, is not overly mindblowing.

Yeah, they are a bit generic. But, being in a sci-fi mind of late, I like the idea of Reaper dabbling into new genres...I do like the sci-fi one.
BUT...as a miniature enthusiast, I have to say, I am growing tired of cheesecake miniatures... It is getting to the point where every company is putting out a scantily clad female in a semi-erotic pose. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, but it is becoming the norm rather than the exception.

both listed at $24.99
they're not bad, and I think it's a nice start, I'll keep an eye out for future releases...anyone know who sculpted them?

Sculptors are listed above the pictures there Eric.
I'm on a mixed feeling on these myself, but really rather like the Belladonna one to tell the truth, mainly as it tells a bit of a story when you look at it and I like the sci-fi look to it.

did I ever mention I can't read, I've been faking it all these years :(
I don't know if I like Belledonna's name, or the hatch thing, in a lot of ways that's what's super generic more than her.

I don't like her hip area! Looks pretty anorectic to me. That's also pretty generic.

yeah, it looks pretty Aeon Flux stylized around the hips
Sort of looks like a new tomb raider mini, just a little more sci-fi'd out

I'm not master sculptor but I think both bases (but especially the amazon) look very much like putty thats supposed to look like something else, its not convincing enough for me to suspend disbelief.
There are also too many better proportioned and better sculpted 54mm minis available from big names like Andrea.

I like the sci-fi one, but I am not sure if I would buy it. I will agree that her hips are a little too Aeon Flux.
