Let me be the first to start telling Nathan where his homepage has problems ;)
First of all, not all smilies are usable. That is because the board will, for example, convert " : p " to :p regardless of what is behind the p. That makes the smily "puppy_dog" near impossible to use.
Then, a design problem. When I post, the smilies extend the box far too much to the right and reach into spaces where nothing should be, namely the dotted margin to the left and right. I would attribute that to the sheer size of the smilies.
That's everything I have found for now ;)
EDIT: Nope, another one. The Galleries read
Member's Categories
This is an example on how to set up a member's category where other user's may create and manage their own categories.
You might want to change that text ;) Especially since my schooled eye has spotted a grammatical error :D

Alrighty, I think I've got all the 'p' smilies taken care of.
As for the smilies page - take a screen shot for me and I'll see what I can do. Might just be the way things are setup on this end and I might be able to fix it with a bit of noggin' scratching.
As for the grammar - hah, that's coded in the original product. I'll see if I can find where it is located and re-work it a little bit.
Thank you for pointing that out to me. If anyone notices any more, please let me know.

Hrmmm - add. I have a different setup. I wonder if it has something to do with being an admin, or if I chose a different option somehow. I'll have to look into it. For me, I have a little smilie face setup at the top. Might be the 'enhanced' mode. I'll look into it.
Did fix the grammar - so the smilies box is all that's left.

Yep, I just enabled the full WYSIWYG form, now the problem is gone because there aren't any more smilies :D That's hardly a good solution though. I could ask a friend who is admin for another board if you'd like me to, we use the same software there and I am sure he will be able to solve the smily problem ;)
A little suggestion though: Could you pput a link to one's own profile/user control panel at the top or somewhere? I have not yet found it and always access it by manually entering the url profile.php :D

WYSIWYG isn't too bad, and with the smilie link up top there I think that takes care of the problem there. Though that being said, yes, fixing the problem is always a good idea.
As for the control panel, up at the top, if you hit the LINKS button, a drop down menu will show up with all the relevent links. It is also on the front page in the left hand menu.

To get rid of the design problem, Just use fewer or smaller smilies. You should be able to set this up in the Admin CP.
And that Link thing was not the most obvious thing really, thanks anyway :D

I think it would be a good idea if you ordered the smilies a bit. There are the craziest smilies in the panel, but if a want a simple cry-, or lol-, oder angrie-smilie, I have to wade through long pages of unorderd, basicly useless smilies. It would be easier, if you just put the often used, simple emoticon-smilies at the beginning, and all the bigger and more specialised stuff at the end.

I might go through and prune out the smilies. Not sure if I can order them though. I'll have to look into that.

I have the same problem as Mosch regarding the posting form at home where I use Firefox. However, at work I use IE and then things look alright. So, this is probably some kind of layout/CSS related browser compatibility problem.

I also discovered that smilies starting with : and o followed by something else will not work since : and o turn into :o.

Thank you - I'll go through and fix those up here shortly.
Edit: Fixed. I think.

Double F, since you seem to be able to get to the forums OK: I have a wyrd problem (haha, punny!).
When visiting wyrd-games.net I get to a page called cpanel which tells me that no website is configured. I can open index.php and everything works nicely. You might want to look into this because, you know, a website people can actually visit is so much better :D

Well, I don't have that problem. Everything is shown all right here.

I had the website changed over to a static IP and the hosting company fubared something yesterday as I was unable to get on the website for the better part of three hours and got that same warning with the CPanel. The techs swear they did nothing but its taken care of now so I'm guessing they must have done something.
Anyhow, if you are still getting it, clear out your cache and likely that'll take care of the problem.
